A cross-sectional study on the mental well-being of Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) sufferers in culturally distant populations of New Zealand and India

If the survey questions create any distress for you, we encourage you to seek support and/or counselling.
My name is Nitin Swami and I am a student at the Southern Institute of Technology in Invercargill, New Zealand studying the Master of Applied Health Science (Wellness and Rehabilitation).

This is an in-depth questionnaire with questions based on four domains specific to
Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS):
1. Polycystic O***y Syndrome questionnaire (PCOSQ)
2. Quality of life
3. Anxiety and depression
4. Body image.

The survey will take approximately 30-35 minutes to complete. Inclusion criteria is that you are between 18-45 years of age and have been diagnosed with PCOS. Only women from New Zealand and India suffering from PCOS should complete this survey.

Your survey answers will be sent to a link at Google Forms where data will be stored in a password protected electronic format. There will be no identifying features collected in the survey therefore you will remain anonymous. Only the researcher and research supervisor will have access to the raw data and the data will only be used for the purpose of this study.

Once you start the survey you will be able to save your responses and return to the survey at your convenience. The survey will be live for three to four weeks.

This study may help inform those who work closely with PCOS sufferers, such as health professionals within New Zealand and India.
