Sometimes we don't need another list of things we should be doing for ourselves.

So here's your reminder that looking after yourself doesn't have to mean adding more to your plate.

Eat something easy. Let the washing wait. Ask for help. Rest without feeling like you have to earn it.

And remember, you deserve support, too. You don't have to wait until you're completely burnt out to ask for it. 🌿

Everyone asks about the baby. But who's asking about Mum?

We spend so much time preparing for a baby.

We buy the clothes, set up the nursery, pack the baby bag and make sure we have everything we'll need.

But how much time do we spend preparing for the woman we're about to become?

The changes to our bodies. The emotions we weren't expecting. The adjustment to a completely different life. The realisation that we can love our babies more than anything and still find motherhood incredibly hard sometimes.

And what happens when everyone goes home, the visitors stop coming and we're left trying to figure it all out?

This is why postpartum care matters so much to me.

I want mothers to feel supported, heard and cared for through one of the biggest transitions of their lives — not just in the days after birth, but as they find their feet in motherhood.

This is the heart of Oak & Alchemy. 🌿

I'm building a practice centred around postpartum support, individualised homeopathic care and recognising the woman behind the baby.

Because the birth of a mother deserves just as much care as the birth of a baby.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. I believe it takes a village to hold a mother 🤎

Yesterday was a pretty big milestone in my homeopathy journey. I took my first live case in front of my entire cohort.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous. There’s something slightly terrifying about taking a case while a whole group of people watches you think, listen and work in real time. 😂 But once I got into it the nerves settled and I remembered why I love this work so much.

Listening to someone’s story. Picking up on the little details. Asking the questions that help you understand the person behind the symptoms. Then stepping back afterwards and piecing the whole case together.

And I did it. 🥹

There’s still so much to learn (and I think there always will be), but yesterday felt like one of those little moments where I could see just how far I’ve come.

Oak & Alchemy is being built alongside all of this.. the study, the clinics, the supervision, the cases. Slowly but surely everything is coming together ❤️

And to everyone else in my cohort still waiting for their turn.. it genuinely isn't as scary as it seems. You’re going to do so well.

Birth is one of the biggest transitions a woman can experience.

And yet, so much focus goes to the arrival of the baby that we sometimes forget about the woman who was transformed along the way.

The physical changes.
The emotional journey.
The unexpected moments.
The strength she found when she needed it most.

No two birth stories are the same.
But every mother’s story matters.

🌿 Today feels a little surreal, but I’m so excited to share that Oak & Alchemy is officially live!

What started as a love for learning and a desire to support others has grown into something I’ve poured so much of myself into.

There have been late nights studying, moments of self doubt, tears, learning, creating, second guessing and countless hours bringing this vision to life. It hasn’t been easy 😅

This journey has taught me the importance of truly listening. That people don’t just want to be “treated”… they want to be seen, heard, understood and supported.

Oak & Alchemy was created as a space for women to feel supported through every stage of life, from hormonal health, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.

And yes… I realise this photo may make it look like I’m launching my photography business 😂📷

But this photo was taken by my youngest, and it feels like the perfect reminder that this dream was built in the middle of real life. My children have been part of this journey every step of the way.

This is more than a website launch. It’s a dream I’ve carried for a long time, and the beginning of something I hope will make a real difference.
