Before revisiting past events—because talking about them makes us relive them—we need to build up our ability to stay present in our body. This requires taking things step by step, using various resources to guide us. By sharing a small part, feeling the activation, and then returning to the present with something comforting, we gradually teach our nervous system to return to safety and resilience.

Nervous system capacity refers to our nervous system’s ability to process stress and return to a calm state. It’s not about avoiding stress but having the flexibility to regulate and bounce back. Trauma can overwhelm us, leading to a freeze response, making it hard for our system to recover and affecting our capacity.
To help us heal, we need to focus on increasing our capacity through body awareness and using somatic resources. Without this, just talking about trauma won’t help. Understanding nervous system capacity is key to overcoming dysregulation and trauma’s impact.

Next week marks my last days with The Cacao Ambassador, closing a beautiful and expansive chapter of my life. I’m filled with gratitude for every moment of this journey.

Recently, l’ve received a clear message: it’s time to fully dedicate myself to my psycho-somatic therapy practice.
This decision has been both challenging and enlightening. After six years in New Zealand, finding my place has been a journey in itself. The lack of recognition for my degrees here slowly invited imposter syndrome into my life, leaving me questioning, “Who am I without official recognition of the years I’ve spent studying and practicing?”

But now is the time to rewrite that story. I am embracing the truth that my knowledge and experience hold immense value, even without external validation. I am reminded of the beautiful transformations my clients have undergone over the years, which is a testament to the impact and worth of my work. Here’s to new beginnings and the courage to trust in my path! Knowing Mama Cacao will always be alongside of me 🥰

Recently, I made a decision that truly came from my heart. Initially, I felt a lot of tension and fear about it-worrying about how the person involved would react and feeling that familiar guilt of potentially letting someone down. But because this decision was heart-driven, it ultimately aligned perfectly for everyone. It opened new doors and created fresh opportunities. What I feared would impact people negatively actually turned out to have a beautiful, constructive effect.

How often does this happen to us? Our minds tend to project the worst-case scenarios and focus on the negative, blinding us to the potential beauty of our decisions. This is why making decisions from the heart is so important. Listening to that deep gut feeling and acting on it is always right. I believe in divine timing. Do you?

How does the diversity of nature form a harmonious ecosystem instead of chaos or conformity? It’s all a question of holding space for it.

Diverse inputs can lead to conflict, but also incredible innovation. Through our differences, we bring out the best in each other.

Fear can stifle the soul’s uniqueness, but holding space for diversity fuels our creative passion.

Holding space is powerful. We can’t hold for others what we can’t hold for ourselves. As Buddhist wisdom teaches, without self-compassion, we can’t truly have compassion for others. Modern psychology echoes this: we must love ourselves to love others.

This empowers us to grow and nurture our communities.

The more space we hold for ourselves, the more we create a presence where others can flourish.

Your inner work creates a sacred space that is transformative and this space can have a beautiful impact.

The space we hold is vital. It can turn diversity into a beautiful orchestra or chaos. This depends on our ability to hold a sacred presence that integrates differences into oneness, understanding that oneness is not sameness.

You can bring life to the souls of this world by honouring your own soul journey. Don’t underestimate the importance of your inner work or the healing effect it initiates.

~ TRUSTING IS HEALING ~

To have trust is already to heal.
Trust that everything happens as it should,
To receive the appropriate teaching at the perfect moment when synergy occurs,
And according to an elusive cycle with which we can learn to dance, by recognizing its signature, its patterns, and fully honoring the process.

Trust that everything that leaves, breaks, or fades away is coming to an end,
For there must always be space in this land for new plants to grow.
And everything is part of this cycle.

Trust in all these movements that make us traverse, perhaps even simultaneously, hell and paradise.
Where everything comes to fulfill its role, its function, its work. In service of our liberation, life like a permanent giant constellation.

Trying to integrate more deeply into our bodies and cells this trust,
This space where I feel fully supported, in collaboration with something much greater than myself.
This space where I observe that every movement of this great consciousness, of this field that connects us, knows how to work in every corner, through every person, every heart, every situation to always serve more the evolution, love, and freedom of living beings.

And even to have trust in our darkest journeys,
In our most painful losses,
In our deepest separations and sheddings.

For a door always opens,
Something knows, is aware of the way to follow.
And this something is always in service, not against us.

To have trust is also to allow oneself to live with fear, to feel it in one’s body as an integral part of the landscape.
To sit next to it and observe it wisely.
It doesn’t mean that we are no longer afraid, just that we decide to believe beyond the fear, just that full trust in the life process can be touched also simultaneously with deep fear.
And that is even the natural, non-dual movement.

With each journey, I weave myself a little more into my trust. I nourish it, make it grow, and invoke its breath.

In service of our greatness, sweet souls.

I’ve been on a journey of re-experiencing childhood memories and emotions. It’s been a profound path, one of diving deep, without the usual distractions of the mind.

Pain, sadness, grief, loneliness – I’ve embraced them all. Allowing myself to feel them fully, to sit with these emotions and truly process them after all these years, has been incredibly liberating.

I’ve learned that to heal, I needed to face these feelings head-on. It wasn’t easy, but through this journey, I’ve found my heart space more open than ever before. I feel my heart beating in my chest, full of life and vitality.

Gratitude fills me – for the journey of plant medicines that have guided me, and for myself, for having the courage to face and heal these emotions. The process has brought me a deeper sense of self-awareness and inner peace.

Here’s to the continued journey of growth, healing, and opening our hearts.

Have you ever wondered why it’s so hard to stay present when anxiety or stress is present or takes over?

It’s because anxiety and stress activate the sympathetic nervous system, our body’s “fight or flight” mode. When we’re in this state, being present feels impossible, and meditation or self-development can seem out of reach.

If you can’t access the ventral state of your vagus nerve, where calm and connection reside, enjoying the moment just isn’t possible. And this isn’t your fault! It’s a powerful reminder to stop blaming yourself. Instead, ask: What happened in your childhood that impacted you so deeply that your body is still holding on?

When we’re children, our nervous systems are highly sensitive and responsive to our environment. Traumatic events or chronic stress during this time can wire our nervous system to stay in a heightened state of alertness. Your body remembers these early experiences, holding onto them as a way to protect you.

This is why healing is not just a mental process but a physical one as well. Working with your body through somatic practices can help you release stored trauma and shift into a state where you can truly be present.

Be gentle with yourself. Healing starts with understanding and compassion for your journey.
Your body is wise and remembers. Healing takes time, and every step you take towards self-awareness is a step towards inner peace.
