We've made it to the last day of Men's Health Week 2026. πŸ’™

This week we talked about the nervous system. About breathwork. About humming and grounding and the quiet power of slowing down.

But here's the simplest thing we can say: The men in our lives deserve to be cared for.

Not just on one day a year.

Not just when things get really hard.
All the time.
In small ways.
With intention.

If you're looking for something meaningful to the men in your life β€” a Zu Qigong session is a gift that lands in the body.

A genuine hour of rest, restoration, and being held.

Available in person or as a distance session β€” anywhere in the world. 🌏

🎁 Gift vouchers available β€” message us or visit zuqigong.com

Thank you for following along this week. It's been a privilege to share these tools with you. πŸ™

We’d love for everyone to add a little moment of positivity to the world ✨

Together we can send the positivity out into the 🌍

If you could add one positive word to this jar β€” using the first letter of your name β€” what would it be?

Ours is: Zen πŸͺ·

☯️A quiet space of inner peace and calm.
☯️A gentle return to the present moment.
☯️A reminder to flow naturally without force.

We’d love to hear yours.

Drop your word in the comments, and let's fill this jar with kindness, hope, strength and a little bit of light.

Sometimes a single word can hold a powerful intention.

Yes a little fun with AI this morning ✨

Men's Health Week Day 6 β€” and it's Friday.

πŸ™Œ If this week has felt heavy, here are three things you can do right now β€” in under five minutes β€” to bring your nervous system back to calm.

🌿 Feet on grass or earth Take off your shoes. Stand outside for 3 minutes. Let the ground hold you. Earthing reduces cortisol and helps the body discharge built-up tension.

πŸ’§ Cool water on your face and wrists Splash cold water on your face or hold your wrists under a cold tap. It activates the dive reflex β€” your body's built-in off-switch for stress. Works almost instantly.

🦢 The self-foot hold Sit quietly. Rest both hands over the top of your bare feet. Just breathe. Don't do anything. The warmth, the intention, the stillness β€” the nervous system responds more quickly than you'd expect.

These are the foundations of what Zu Qigong understands β€” the feet are a powerful gateway to the whole body's wellbeing.

Try one today. Or all three. πŸ’™

Men's Health Week Day 5.

πŸ’™ We want to say something that not enough people say to men:

You don't have to earn rest.
You don't have to push through everything. Your nervous system is allowed to be held.

So much of men's health culture is still about doing more, being stronger, toughening up.

But the body doesn't thrive on relentless effort. It thrives on balance. On rest. On being cared for.

This week has been about tools β€”breathwork, humming breath, energy practices β€” but underneath all of it is one simple message:

You deserve to feel well. 🌿

Share this with a man you love. πŸ’™

Men's Health Week Day 4 β€” and today we want to introduce you to something a little different. 🦢

Zu Qigong.

It's a gentle, non-invasive practice that works through the feet as a gateway to the body's energy system β€” the meridians.

And for the nervous system specifically, it's remarkable.

When the body is in a constant state of stress, the nervous system gets stuck in high gear. The muscles tighten. The breath shortens. The mind won't quieten.

Zu Qigong works by gently encouraging energy to move β€” through the feet, through the meridians, through the whole system.

The body receives it as a signal: it's safe to let go now.

Most people notice a shift within the first few minutes. Warmth. Softening. A quieting they didn't know they needed.

One of our male clients said it best β€”

"I can't tell you just how nurturing that was. To have my feet touched β€” and to have felt so loved."

This is what's possible when we give the body what it actually needs. πŸ’™

Men's Health Week Day 3 β€” and today's technique might feel a little unusual. But stay with us.

🎢 It's called humming breath β€” and it's one of the most direct ways to calm your nervous system.

Here's why it works:

Your vagus nerve is the longest nerve in your body. It runs from your brain all the way down through your chest and gut. When it's activated, it sends a signal to your entire system β€” you're safe, you can rest.

Humming creates a vibration that stimulates the vagus nerve directly.

Try it:

🌬️ Breathe IN deeply through your nose
γ€œ On the out-breath β€” hummmmm
Feel the vibration in your chest and throat Repeat for 5 rounds (if that feels good for you)

You can do this in your car, before a difficult conversation, or just before bed.

It takes 2 minutes. The shift can be immediate.

Drop a γ€œ in the comments if you try it. πŸ’™

Men's Health Week Day 2 β€” and we're starting with the most powerful tool you already own.

🌬️ Your breath. When stress hits, most of us breathe faster and shallower without noticing. This keeps the nervous system in high alert β€” even when there's nothing to fight.

This simple technique changes that:

πŸ‘ƒ Breathe IN through your nose β€” slowly, for a count of 4 πŸ‘„ Breathe OUT through pursed lips β€” slowly, for a count of 8

The pursed lips help you control the pace of the out-breath.
The longer exhale is the key β€” it directly activates your parasympathetic nervous system. Your rest and restore response. Try it now. 5 rounds. Notice what shifts.

The body can't stay in fight-or-flight when the breath is slow. πŸ’™

Save this post so you have it when you need it. πŸ”–

It's Men's Health Week 2026 β€” and this year we want to talk about something that doesn't get nearly enough airtime. πŸ’™

The nervous system.

Most men are running on high alert without realising it. Carrying stress in the body. Pushing through. Doing more.

And the nervous system? It rarely gets a chance to truly rest.

All this week we'll be sharing simple, powerful ways to support your nervous system β€” breathwork, energy practices, and gentle tools that actually work.

Because real strength includes knowing how to slow down.

Follow along all week β€” and share with the men in your life who could use a little more calm. 🌿
