Lacey at Luminous Skin

Lacey at Luminous Skin Hi, I’m Lacey — a Registered Cosmetic Nurse with 10+ years’ experience. Book your consultation at www.luminousskin.nz 💛 Lacey

I offer cosmetic injectables & advanced skin treatments across Nelson, Richmond, Motueka & Blenheim. Hi, I’m Lacey and I have been working in health care for over 20 years, with many of those years working with pediatric patients and their families. In 2015 I moved to cosmetic medicine, attending national training events hosted by both doctors and nurses. Gaining experience in varying techniques f

or safe and effective product placement. After finishing my Bachelor in Health Science, I completed a post-graduate certification in advanced nursing assessment whilst working at Waikato hospital. I have worked in pediatric nursing for 10 years and after having 2 children I decided to specialise in appearance medicine. I have attended numerous training courses for laser skin rejuvenation, anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers, and collagen biostimulators. I have completed my accreditation with CANN (cosmetic appearance nurses network), and keep up to date with professional development, attending conferences nationally. "I enjoy these learning opportunities as they expand my knowledge, technical skills, and safest approaches enabling me to deliver great results". I am here to help you achieve your best skin and restore a refreshed and natural look to your appearance without looking overdone or like you’ve had ‘treatment’ at all. I offer a no-obligation complimentary consultation at your chosen clinic in Nelson, Richmond, Motueka or Blenheim prior to any treatment. Here you can discuss any concerns you may have, and we can develop a personal treatment plan that is right for you, your budget, and your lifestyle. I take a detailed medical history from you to make sure any treatment is safe and right for you. Please get in touch, I would love to meet you.

A quieter kind of confidence 🤍

Seeing Luminous Skin featured in this month’s Nelson Magazine felt really special — and honestly, a little surreal.

When I first started Luminous Skin, I knew I wanted to create something that felt personal, calm, and genuinely supportive. Not just treatments, but a space where people could feel listened to, cared for, and comfortable in their own skin.

While putting this article together, it was important to me that it truly reflected the way I work every day in clinic — personalised care, honest conversations, education, safety, and natural-looking results.

Over time, I’ve realised most people aren’t looking for dramatic change. They simply want to feel like themselves again, with someone they trust guiding them along the way.

I’m incredibly grateful to Nelson Magazine for the thoughtful feature, and even more grateful to every client who continues to support Luminous Skin and trust me with their care 🤍

Winter is when skin renewal begins 🤍

The cooler months are often one of the best times to focus on treatments like microneedling.

With less sun exposure and more time spent indoors, your skin has the opportunity to recover more comfortably while supporting natural collagen production over time.

One of the biggest misconceptions about microneedling is that it’s about instant results.

In reality, it’s consistency that creates change.

For many people, winter becomes the season where they start investing in healthier, stronger-looking skin for the months ahead.

Microneedling is one of those treatments that’s often misunderstood.

It’s not about dramatic overnight changes. The real benefit comes from supporting your skin over time and encouraging natural collagen production gradually.

That’s why consistency matters more than chasing quick fixes.

For many people, microneedling becomes part of a longer-term approach to healthier, stronger-looking skin.

How often should you really have skin treatments?

It’s one of the most common questions I’m asked.

And the answer is usually less about doing more and more about understanding what your skin actually needs over time.

Treatments like microneedling, skin peels, hydration treatments and anti-wrinkle all work differently within the skin. Timing, spacing, and recovery can make just as much difference as the treatment itself.

I’ve shared a new blog explaining:
• General timing guidelines for common treatments
• Why consistency matters more than intensity
• How often treatments are commonly maintained
• Why a personalised approach is so important

If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re doing too much, not enough, or simply aren’t sure where to start, this may help bring a little more clarity 💙

Not sure where to start when it comes to your skin?

One of the most common things I hear in clinic is:
“I don’t even know what I should be booking.”

That’s exactly why consultations exist.

There’s no pressure to know all the treatments or have everything figured out before your appointment.

Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation. Asking questions, understanding your skin a little better, and talking through what feels right for you.

I visit Blenheim monthly for one-on-one skin consultations and treatments, offering a personalised approach in a welcoming environment.

✨ Next Blenheim clinic: June 3rd & 4th

If you’ve been thinking about booking, you’re very welcome to send me a message or book online 🤍

A little behind the scenes moment…

I had a conversation recently where someone mentioned they didn’t realise you need to be a registered nurse first.

And it made me realise. I don’t always talk about this part.

Before anything else, I’m a registered nurse.
That training is the foundation of everything I do in the clinic.

So lately… I’ve been wearing my badge a little more proudly 🤍

There’s something I really enjoy about my monthly visits to Blenheim.

Meeting people at all different stages of their skin journey. Some are completely new to this space, while others are simply looking for a more personalised, one-on-one approach.

Often, the first appointment is just a conversation. A chance to ask questions, understand your skin a little better, and talk through what feels right for you.

That’s why I continue to visit Blenheim every month, offering a more personal, one-on-one approach to skin consultations and treatments.

One face. Every visit.

Can you combine skin treatments?

It’s a question that comes up often.

Once you start learning about your skin, it’s natural to wonder how different treatments fit together.

Microneedling.
Skin peels.
Hydration treatments.
Anti-wrinkle.

Do you choose one?
Or can they be combined?

In some cases, treatments can work really well together —
but timing and approach are important.

I’ve shared a simple guide to help explain how treatments can be layered in a way that supports your skin properly.

This part is often overlooked…

Every appointment starts here.

Taking the time to understand your skin, your history, and what you’ve been noticing or wanting to improve.

It might seem simple, but it’s one of the most important parts of the process.

Because when your plan is built around you, everything that follows feels more natural and considered.

Sometimes it’s not about doing more with your skin…
it’s about what you’re doing every day.

The products you use in between visits can make a real difference to how your skin feels, holds hydration, and responds over time.

In clinic, I’ll often recommend simple, supportive skincare to help keep things on track.

Because it’s not just about what happens here,
it’s everything in between as well.

If you’re ever unsure what your skin needs, we can always talk it through 🤍
