✨ DEAD EASY WORKSHOPS ✨
Empowering ❣️ Sacred ❣️ Inspiring
Death touches every family, yet many of us feel uncertain, disconnected, or unprepared when it comes to caring for someone after they die. What if we felt more confident? What if we understood our choices and knew how to care for our loved ones gently, meaningfully, and in ways that felt deeply personal?
DEAD EASY WORKSHOPS can be hosted in private homes, halls or community centres, creating a safe and supportive space for important conversations around death, dying, and home-based funeral care.
Facilitated by experienced End-of-Life Doulas and Home Funeral Guides Carol Wales, Jo Carter, and Jo Payne, this beautiful two-part workshop gently explores practical, hands-on home funeral care while empowering families and communities to reconnect with sacred, meaningful end-of-life traditions.
Carol is based in Katikati, Jo Carter in Tauranga, and Jo Payne in Hamilton, with the trio travelling throughout the North Island sharing practical knowledge, compassionate support, and empowering conversations around home-based deathcare.
🌿 YOU have choices.
Many people are surprised to learn that caring for loved ones at home after death is both possible and legal in New Zealand. Families can be more involved than they may realise, creating farewells that are deeply personal, healing, beautiful, and often far more affordable than conventional funerals.
The workshops explore:
✨ Preparation & planning
✨ Legal rights and responsibilities
✨ Practical body care after death
✨ Shrouding and dressing
✨ Ritual washing and anointing
✨ Cooling and preservation techniques
✨ Creating meaningful farewells
✨ Reducing fear and building confidence around deathcare
Far from doom ’n’ gloom, DEAD-ucators Carol, Jo and Jo bring warmth, humour, compassion, and grounded practical wisdom to these workshops. Participants often leave feeling empowered, reassured, connected, and deeply inspired.
💫 Workshop Investment: $120.00 per person
