Truth boom, my story
Living small doesn’t keep you safe. It just keeps you hidden.
I moved to Perth one year ago today. I sold my house, car, and 30 years of stuff, nearly burnt me out. Has it been a struggle, challenging yes, was it worth it, Hell yes.
I am closer to my daughter which is the best result. Is my business where I thought it would be, no. But that is ok. I am living my best life. But along the way I forgot to love life. Sticking to the hustle, stressing when things where not going as I thought. Overthinking it was me, something was wrong with me.
In developing my framework - The Clarity Method, I realised that I was stuck in my own personal development cycle. Healing, giving, chasing. I realised I was not living. Where is my joy, my fun, my people.
We tell ourselves that staying quiet, staying agreeable, staying under the radar is the safe choice. But hiding the real you isn’t safety. It’s a slow kind of self-abandonment with better manners.
The woman you’ve come home to has things to say, work to do, a way of living that is fully hers. And the world does not get the gift of her while she stays politely invisible.
You are allowed to take up space. To be visible. To live out loud. Not to impress anyone, but because that is what being fully yourself actually looks like.
I have decided to stop living small. To speak my truth. My truth is that I have been hiding behind what others said I should be, who I should serve, how I serve them.
Now I take back my power, take back my voice and speak from my heart. I take responsibility for my life, my journey, and my fun. Let's see what comes up.
So here’s today’s question: where in your life have you been living smaller than you actually are, and what would it look like to take up just a little more space there?
Let’s talk.
