A little act of love for the fae 🧚🏽‍♀️
Patches of pansies, sweet peas, violas, calendulas, strawflowers, all the vibrant blooms tucked into the garden for the girls to tend, gather and whisper their little secrets to

They love to imagine the fairies forging their own pathways through the petals, pausing for tea beneath the chamomile, dancing their wings among the cornflowers,
leaving the tiniest traces of magic behind

And when the flowers make their way inside, their little enchantments follow,

Petals become potions, sprinkled into baking, folded through cakes, pressed into golden candles, & scattered through warm baths.

The holy altar of blooms
the garden,
a little world of her own

A place that makes you feel a little softer,
a little more wonder filled

Where tiny hands gather baskets,
pockets full of treasures,
hair tangled by the wind,
believing the flowers could keep secrets

And for a moment
you remember

you are that little girl too

Wild delicious seasons sitting with beautiful humans,
dipped in layers of celebrating conception, birth, postpartum, death.

Being met inside the hidden scaffolds of the body
carrying glorious grief, rinsing out rage,
rupture & repair, loss, shame, endings, heartbreaks, surrender, sickness, change, ecstasy, love

All pelted with colour
saturated in the hues and textures
of a full, satiated spectrum

Our medicine offerings have asked of us
for slow rendering
like apple cider
drawing marrow
from the bones
thick, gelatinous,
full bodied plasma
slow dripped
through the deep architecture
of connective tissue

A cup of dark rich velvety broth
seasoned generously
by the whenua we love so deeply

Thank you to all who wander here
a little wild,
a little feral
a little bit holy

Feasting off your blossoms
scattering your flowers & allowing yourselves to be nourished by the ridiculous beauty of feeling alive through the extraordinary altar of life ✨

Nau mai, haere mai 🤎
It is an honour to welcome you into our kāinga,
This is more than a place where rongoā is shared.

Within these walls are also the home of our whānau. A living space where we rest, laugh, gather, learn, and care for one another.
We ask that everyone who enters does so with the same reverence they would in any wāhi tapu.

A whare carries its own mauri,
Every person who enters contributes to the energy that is held here.

So please have a read, these tikanga are not rules, but practices of respect that help preserve the peace, balance, and sanctity of this space for all who come seeking nourishment.

Our tūpuna understood our waewae are our most sacred foundation that are in constant connection with the whenua

Every step, every scar, every arch tells a story of where we come from. A contoured map of intricate meridians that allow us to tap into the whole whare of our tinana

In te ao māori we remember our waewae hold memories of the landscapes walked before us, the footsteps of our ancestors and the mokopuna yet to come

To ground the body, we must first look after the roots that support and hold us, when the waewae are nourished, the whole whare of the body can begin to settle 🌱

This beautifully curated ritual is an invitation to honour your foundation that holds you,
A sensory clearing to release heavy, stagnant energy & restore a sense of absolute calm from the Earth up

We begin by tending to your feet immersing in a warm copper bowl of slow brewed rongoā wai, infused with organic magnesium salts, hand harvested native plants, homegrown botanicals, & flower essences to realign your energy

The physical release deepens with a warm kawakawa salt foot scrub to gently polish the skin and stimulate vital circulation, shedding what no longer serves

This is followed by a slow, deep intuitive foot and calf miri melt, a warm native plant compress to soothe tired arches

To close, we korowai your waewae in hot towels sealing in botanical medicine,
Leaving you feeling anchored, light, & beautifully restored

Bookings can be found on our website under native spa rituals in our link at the the top of the page

Kia ora e te whānau 🤎

This past week has filled both our whare and our hearts beyond ways words can express

To open the doors of our whare rongoā once again has been such a privilege.
We have had the honour of welcoming familiar faces home, alongside beautiful new souls who have journeyed from near and far, finding their way to our pā for the very first time.

With immense gratitude, I wanted to share that we are now almost at full capacity for the month of July here in Waihi,
I have only a handful of appointments remaining, with the next available booking from 30th July.

If you are hoping to be seen sooner, please let us know and we will lovingly add you to our waitlist should a space become available.

Thank you for choosing your well-being, for choosing you 💕

As Hine Takurua cloaks us in her cool embrace,

May we remember to tend to our fires
May we continue to slow our pace
May we honour the wisdom of rest
May we remember that when we tend to ourselves with intention, we nourish our entire whare
