Pro Clima New Zealand

Pro Clima New Zealand Supplier of air & weathertightness building systems for health, durability & energy efficiency.

We all want to live in homes or work in buildings that are healthy, energy efficient and friendly to our environment. Pro Clima’s airtightness and weathertightness building system, in combination with effective insulation and appropriate ventilation, creates an energy efficient, low allergen emitting, comfortable, healthy home or place of business. Pro Clima’s patented system also ensures the long

term effectiveness of the insulation and the structural durability of the building by protecting it from moisture damage, thereby making sure your healthy, energy efficient and eco friendly environment remains that way for many years in the future. Pro Clima has been providing intelligent airtight and windtight building solutions from Germany to the world since 1981. Lothar Moll, Director of Pro Clima in Germany and New Zealand, is a world leading building physicist and expert on airtightness systems. In 1994 he discovered the MVTR – moisture vapour transmission rate variable membrane, the Intelligent part of INTELLO, which became part of the patented pro clima Intelligent Airtightness System (IAS). According to the ecologicalbuildingsystems.com website, Pro Clima “leads the field in the development and manufacture of intelligent high performance sealing systems for thermal insulation in constructions”. In 2007, Lothar came to New Zealand and saw the need for the Pro Clima system here. Pro Clima NZ Ltd opened its doors in 2008 and has an ethical commitment to providing energy efficient, healthy, dry homes and buildings for New Zealanders.

What’s really keeping the weather out?
Is the cladding doing all the work?
What’s protecting the building behind it?

The façade’s most important layer isn’t necessarily the one you see. Behind the cladding, the Weather Resistive Barrier (WRB) provides the building’s defence against wind-driven rain, air infiltration and moisture ingress.

Discover how tested, integrated façade systems FORTX™ and FORTX™ MELIOR can help deliver high-performance weatherproofing—before the cladding even goes on.

👉 Read the full article:

Learn how integrated weather resistive barriers protect building envelopes behind the cladding, simplifying detailing and ensuring code compliance.

Condensation in roof spaces? Look beyond ventilation.

Moisture management starts from the inside out. By limiting moisture movement into the roof space, combining airtight construction with effective moisture control and Above Sheathing Ventilation (ASV), you can significantly reduce condensation risk.

Discover the building science behind more durable, better-performing roof systems in the article by Jon Davies, Pro Clima's Technical Sales Support and Education Manager:

Condensation in roof spaces is increasingly common, but the solution isn't just ventilation. This article explores why controlling internal moisture at its source, combined with airtight construction and above sheathing ventilation, is the most effective way to reduce condensation risk in modern New...
