The People’s Choice Award was the best outcome i could hope for! Thank you to everyone who voted for me at the Pitch World Cup. Carelwon was developed for the people, by the people, taking extra care by sourcing directly from Fiji farmers, promoting regenerative farming practices, the development if our manufacturing process without any chemical waste streams, certificates of analysis at every step of the process to assure the highest quality and product specific lab and clinical trials. All the way to the recyclable packaging the we bottle and distribute our products in. It means a lot that the public celebtates the importance of us going the extra mile.

Carelwon is made in my fathers name to support those suffering from inflammation.

Im grateful that last night at the awards ceremony i could show my kids that my experience of seeing my father suffer from severe inflammation, prompted me to find a solution. I got to show them that when bad things happen that you have two choices, you either react out of fear or out of love and the later has the power to make the change you want to see. Seeing my kids proud faces made me the happiest woman on earth.

Reading the reviews of people that suffered from chronic inflammatory conditions like Osteoarthritis and sciatica that found relief with Carelwon, made me the happiest person in the universe.

Thank you to all the amazing people that stood with me all of these years. Pressure definitely makes diamonds and I couldn’t have done it without you.

I want to share something personal.

My father, Carel, was a firefighter and an athlete. Then chronic inflammation took that from him. He became permanently disabled — unable to keep working, unable to keep training — and for a man who had spent his life being useful and helping people, that loss was its own kind of injury.

I spent years trying to find something that could have changed that outcome for him. That search became my life's work: discovering how to turbocharge plant compounds and turn that discovery into Carelwon® — an anti-inflammatory and longevity concentrate up to 105x more potent than standard ginger, curcumin, and berberine across six inflammatory pathways.

I told my father we named it after him.

I will never forget his face in that moment. Watching him understand that his suffering had become the reason something existed that could help other people — that his pain wasn't wasted — is my best memory of him. It's the moment I hold onto.

To everyone who has supported Evithé, believed in this work, and to everyone who has bought and trusted Carelwon® — thank you. You are part of the reason my father's fight meant something bigger than his own story. Every bottle carries his name, and now it carries yours too.

Thrilled to share that Evithe Biotechnology has been named finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026. 🎉

This recognition means a lot — Evithé Biotechnology started as a mission to honour my late father, Carel, and turn 15+ years of research into Carelwon® that can genuinely help 1 in 5 people that are living with chronic inflammation and support people living healthy, happy lives.

Seeing that work acknowledged on this stage is a huge moment for our small but mighty team. Huge thanks to Kim Campbell, Sally Robinson, Carmen Doran, Alan Sutton, Niels Hunefeld, Sandhya Sriram, John Clough, Dr Alex Semprini, Victoria University of Wellington, Aggie Global, and all the amazing and generous people that backed Evithé Biotechnology along the way — this is very much a shared achievement!

We're building Evithé Biotechnology the way Patagonia built an outdoor brand, Tony's Chocolonely built a chocolate company, Dr. Bronner's sustainable soap business and OWP Pharmaceuticals built a pharmaceutical business: on the belief that how you source is as important as what you sell.

Carelwon® starts with ginger grown on family farms in Fiji. We work directly with those farmers to help them achieve Global GAP or Organic Certification — no synthetic pesticides, no synthetic fertiliser. In Fiji, that's not a compliance checkbox. Runoff from those chemicals reaches the reef. Getting this right protects the ecosystem that we all depend on.

Extraction happens in New Zealand today. We're working toward pre-processing that applied GMP certification in Fiji. Every step is traceable on blockchain, with a certificate of analysis at each stage. You can see exactly where your ginger came from and what's in Carelwon®

You might have noticed that Carelwon® does not come in a gold-foil box. Most "longevity" products spend their margin on packaging. We spend it on the ginger, the process, the testing and the community. For the people, by the people - Sustainable from farm to formulation.
