I invite you to this journey into your heart, into the peace, light and harmony within yourself through the mystic sound of Singing Bowls. Tibetan Singing Bowls,Gongs, Bells and sacred instruments have been used for centuries for healing and meditation purposes. They create a range of sounds to restore the normal vibratory frequencies of diseased and out-of-harmony parts of the body, mind and soul instilling a feeling of immense space and deep peace. The transformative sounds of these ancient sacred sound instruments affect the nervous system by entraining the brain to the harmonic vibrations of the bowls, harmonizing the left and right hemispheres of the brain, inducing slower, deeper brain wave states that engage the relaxation reflex and significantly slow respiratory, brain and heart rates, disrupting the pain reflex and supporting the immune system. Singing bowls have a direct impact on your energetic centers called Chakras, which are related with different aspects and elements on human life. A session with 7 singing bowls can harmonise them and open the potential within yourself. Allow yourself to experience a deep level of relaxation and bliss with the sound of Singing Bowls. Additional benefits of the Singing Bowls sessions are:

• Stress Reduction through deep relaxation and endorphin release

Release energetic blockages on body and mind.

• Liberates emotional traumas locked within the subconscious

• Profound effect on acupuncture meridians

• Activates self-healing mechanisms within the body

• Promotes deeper sleep

• Relief from headache, fatigue, insomnia, digestive disorders, joint or muscle aches, menstrual disorders, emotional imbalances

• Aura harmonising

Claudio Escutia studied directly from a healer and recognised master Chaitanyashree in Kathmandu Nepal at the Kundalini Herbal and Sound Healing center. Personal and group sessions offered. Claudio. [email protected]

Kia ora Wellington 🌿 I’m Claudio.

I’ve taught yoga for over 20 years. I trained as a classical guitarist in Mexico, studied sound healing in Nepal and India, and now I share it all here in Wellington.

Come and practise with me in Khandallah: slow Yin, flowing classes, Hatha, and a Beginners class on Saturday mornings. Small groups, and mats and props are included. I also hold sound healing journeys with singing bowls, gongs and live instruments.

If you’ve been curious about starting (or restarting) a practice, you’re welcome exactly as you are.

What brings you to yoga or sound right now? I’d love to hear 👇

Looking to reset mid-week or build strength before heading home?

Three new classes just landed at Khandallah Shala

🌿 Here’s what’s new on the schedule from Saturday 3rd October:

🌙 Yin Restore — Tuesdays 12–1pm
A slow, floor-based practice using props to support deep stretches held for several minutes. Great for resetting mid-week — calms the nervous system and eases tension built up from sitting or screen time.

🔥 Flow — Tuesdays 6:30–7:30pm
A dynamic, breath-led sequence linking movement through sun salutations and standing postures. Builds strength and flexibility, and clears the day before you head home.

🌱 Beginners — Saturdays 8:30–9:30am
A gentle, supportive introduction to the basics — breath, alignment, foundational poses — in a small group, no experience needed. The perfect place to start (or come back to) a practice.

Drop-in, 5, 10 & Unlimited passes available — opening pricing runs through all of October. Link below to book 🙏

Introduction to the Art of Playing Singing Bowls

You’ve felt it before — that moment a Tibetan bowl’s hum resonates not just in your ears, but somewhere in your chest. Now imagine knowing how to create that sound yourself.

This is a hands-on 6-hour workshop, not a lecture. You’ll touch, play, and actually learn the technique — proper playing methods, how different mallets change the sound, how to use bowls in yoga and meditation, and how to choose a bowl with confidence.

I trained in Tibetan bowl technique in Nepal and India in 2014, coming from a background in classical music in Mexico and jazz/world music in Canada, India, and Berlin. Since then I’ve offered sound healing concerts, private sessions, and workshops across the Wellington region — this is where that training gets passed on.

No musical or meditation experience needed. Whether you’re a yoga teacher, therapist, or just someone who wants to bring this into your own home practice, this workshop is for you.

This is a unique offering in Wellington, dont miss the opportunity to learn to use sound as a spiritual tool.

📅 Saturday 10 October, 11am–5pm
📍 Yoga Corner, Lower Hutt
🎫 $220 general admission or $35 off if you came to my latest concert at Yoga Corner.
