April & May delivered meaningful Mental Health First Aid Aotearoa Training - feeling really grateful for the support around this mahi.

Huge thanks to Whangarei District Council for partnering with Pathways to Well-being to train frontline staff. Powerful, practical cohorts, and we’re heading straight into another WDC group in June.

To Whangarei Care Centre, thank you for backing your people during a tough time, sad to see the closure of your much needed services.

Big shoutout to my friends at XZone NZ, Āwhina Ora, Nudi Point, First Light Natural Health, & Golden Turmeric for supporting our well-being packs - it means a lot.

Honestly, it’s been refreshing to step away from desk work and be back in front of people. ❣️

This work matters. Mental Health First Aid is as important as medical first aid.

I’ll be facilitating an introduction session at CEW on Saturday 20 June / get in touch if you’re keen.

Grateful. Energised. Ready for June.

Whangārei’s best‑kept secret is sitting just off the city fringes, Āwhina Ora.

Close to Kensington Hub, easy to get to, and honestly - you deserve what happens in that space.

There’s something sacred about lying down for a treatment and having karakia offered over your body start to finish. It’s grounding. It’s real. It’s one of the pathways to wellbeing that can shape you, and it’s one I stand behind.

The team at Āwhina Ora open their doors on the last Friday of every month for community connection days.

If you’ve been thinking about it, go!
Get in touch with the beautiful humans at Āwhina Ora today. For your Body, Mind, Spirit.

👀What You Can’t See Can Be Just as Serious⛑️
Our April Mental Health First Aid Training brought together frontline staff from Whangarei District Council and Whangārei Care Centre, alongside community members currently studying professions in psychology and mental health to genuinely support the people they serve.

What they all recognised is this:
Mental health challenges can be just as impactful as physical injuries or chronic medical conditions: the difference is that they’re often unseen. And that’s exactly why Mental Health First Aid Training is as important as medical first aid.

This group showed up with heart, curiosity, and a real drive to learn tools they can use immediately in their workplaces, studies, and communities.

If you want to build these skills too, join us at the next training:
28–29 May, Tikipunga FC, Whangārei. Spaces are limited.
