Too Good Lae City!

In Lae we are building new classrooms, nearly every school has a school bus, roads are being rehabilitated and new ones are being built. Casual labour is hired from within in Tent City and other locations to build drains and roads
There are programs that engage women in cleaning sections of the city. More than 2000 youth have been engaged in building footpaths all over the City. They are trained for a period and then end up in internships with companies. And this is supported by the Lae City Authoritiy. Several more have gone to Australia for the labor mobilization program. Youth who opt to start SMEs are not just supported, they are trained and mentored and backed by the LCA. We have a new hospital, a new market will be built. Police are well resourced. They respond to calls and public complaints. There is a new barracks being built.

Community leaders are active. There is an active city cleaning committee and a law and order committee. A lot of the work is being done by unpaid volunteers.

Government money is going to the people.

Lae is trying and suceeding. Mipla no sleep.
