Strengthening Our Peer Educators 💙

The Adolescent Reproductive Health Program under the OK sa DepEd initiative extends its grateful support to the dedicated Peer Educators of Alabel, Sarangani Province through the distribution of their official polo shirts.

More than just a shirt, this serves as a symbol of belongingness, recognition, and appreciation for their active participation in health campaigns, advocacy efforts, and various health-related activities. Their commitment and involvement help promote awareness and empower fellow learners to make informed and healthy choices.

To our Peer Educators, thank you for being active partners in building a healthier and more informed school community. Keep inspiring, keep advocating, and keep making a difference!💙

I would like to express my gratitude to the three schools from learners. Parents, teachers and stakeholders who have really made an extra mile to sustain their WASH in Schools Program. To the school heads of Pangi ES, Kawas NHS and Tokawal NhS my Congratulations for being our Seal of Excellence Awardee, this only means that you have successfully sustained and maintained your facilities, your practices and the implementation of the WinS program for 3 consecutive years. I know and understand that it has been tough to manage our facilities it entails wisdom and compassion to get partners for the construction of facilities and sometimes most of you are spending your own money just to maintain and improve the facilities.

This also paves way to recognize our School WinS coordinators Maam Geraldine Tubo of Kawas NHS maam Mary Jane Comia of Tokawal NHS and Maam Christine Joy Naboa Ebojo of Pangi ES on your unwavering commitment in the WinS Program- without your effort I will not be also recognize in the region.

Thanks also to doc Lyn Gumban and maam Shirley Cardinal our SGOD Chief for always pushing and encouraging schools to improve and excel. Lastly to maam Ruth RL East for always inspiring us to become a better version of ourselves and to always remember our commitment to serve with a humble heart and enthusiastic mind.

Again, Madamo gid na Salamat! I am now challenging other schools especially our central schools to please improve our WinS facilities and the WinS program implementation because with a very good Water, Sanitation and Hygiene facilities, our life will be better Kay humot, limpyo kag Malinawon ang Aton nga eskwelahan which is also good not just for our physical bodies but also for our mental health.
