According to the Columbia University School of Professional Studies, disinformation is the intentional transmission of lies, whereas misinformation might happen accidentally. False narratives can now affect political discourse and even election results due to the absence of regulations governing misinformation. For example, it is anticipated that disinformation will be a major factor in the next elections, emphasizing the need for immediate action.
