A 5-year-old male initially presented with symptoms consistent with moderate to severe persistent allergic rhinitis, including frequent sneezing, nasal congestion, rhinorrhea, and itching affecting daily activities and sleep.

After adequate symptom control and discontinuation of antihistamines for 1 week, Skin Test Aeroallergen (STAA)/Food Allergen (FA) testing was performed. Skin prick testing revealed sensitization to House Dust Mite (HDM).

Early identification of triggers helps guide allergen avoidance measures and long-term management for better symptom control and improved quality of life.

📌 Parent’s consent was obtained prior to taking and sharing the photo of the skin prick testing procedure.

Nosebleeds Are More Frequent in Summer

Dry heat can irritate the nasal lining.

If a nosebleed occurs:Pinch the soft part of the nose and lean forward for 10–15 minutes.

Seek care if bleeding is prolonged or frequent.

Swimmer’s Ear: Protect Your Ears This Summer 🏊‍♂️

Swimmer’s ear (otitis externa) is an infection of the outer ear caused by trapped water that allows bacteria to grow.

How to avoid:
• Dry ears well after swimming
• Tilt head to remove trapped water
• Avoid inserting cotton buds or objects into the ear

Watch for ear pain, itching, or discharge.
