To the dietitians who are part of this, know that I am forever a fan, proud and rooting for you.. ๐๐๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐.
Again, if the purpose of the said course is to teach individuals about โtheirโ health, there is no need and it is best not to include the term โ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ตโ when promoting these modules. Instead, consider using titles/phrases like โ๐จ๐ป๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ก๐๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป!โespecially if you want to emphasize health. You mentioned, โthis is for individuals who wants to be more proactive about ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ง healthโ but thatโs not what Iโm getting from the materials you posted.
Using the term โ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ตโ may lead people to believe they can also teach ๐ผ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐. I hope Youโre likely aware of how pseudo-nutrition coaching operates; these so-called coaches may understand the basics, but they often distort information and promote fad diets. Once these individuals start sharing what they've learned, you have no control over it, which is unethical for the profession.
To the PRC BOND, Maam Virgith Buena and Maam Maria Eloisa Villaraza of NDAP. May we ask how and why we allow such courses? Why is the term "Certified Nutrition Coaches" permitted for non-registered dietitians (non-RNDs)? & Who will monitor these individuals & courses? I hope you can help us understand this concerning topic. This course was reportedly approved by the PRC, according to the dietitian who posted about it. Thank you.
