🩺𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐒𝐄 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐂𝐊!💛

Last April 9, 2026, the UP Pre-Medical Society Baguio held the 𝗣𝗠𝗦 𝗣𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲: 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 in preparation for the PMS CareAvan: Medical & Tuli Mission. With the help of medical professionals and alumni, the students learned to take patient histories and to use various medical instruments to obtain necessary vital signs.

𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝘀: 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 🩸

One of the lesser-known yet life-threatening health conditions affecting thousands of individuals worldwide is hemophilia. In the Philippines, many people live with this bleeding disorder, often facing challenges in diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care.

Hemophilia is a genetic disorder that affects the blood’s ability to clot, leading to prolonged bleeding even from minor injuries. It is commonly inherited and mostly affects males. With early diagnosis and proper management, individuals can significantly improve their quality of life.

𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭? ‼️
Those with a family history of bleeding disorders, especially young males. Still, awareness is important for everyone.

𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬 ⚠️
Frequent or unexplained bruising
Prolonged bleeding from cuts
Joint pain, swelling, or stiffness
Nosebleeds that are difficult to stop

𝐃𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐬. Early detection and proper care can prevent serious complications and improve quality of life. Be part of the change. With awareness, support, and action, we can help build a safer and better community for those living with hemophilia.
