Collaborating Entities: Operating Room Nurses Association of the Philippines - Cordillera Administrative Region (ORNAP-CAR) & the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Pinsao Pilot Barangay

On May 16, 2026, the 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 - 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐏-𝐂𝐀𝐑) successfully conducted a volunteer surgical mission (Operation Tuli) at the Pinsao Pilot Barangay Health Center. This community health initiative was made possible through a robust collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Pinsao Pilot Barangay, actively represented by 𝐊𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐲.

The ORNAP-CAR team was spearheaded by 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐄𝐝𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐄. 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚 Gianne Edolieston Edwin , alongside 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝘇𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗼 Fely Calixto and 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 Regina Marie 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞 Ynah Grande Zabala .

Together with the local health center staff, the team provided safe, sterile, and professional minor surgical services to the young residents of the community, reinforcing ORNAP-CAR's ongoing commitment to accessible community healthcare and surgical safety.

Baguio City — Standing true to its core mission of extending specialized healthcare directly to the grassroots, the 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙊𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙉𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 (𝙊𝙍𝙉𝘼𝙋) - 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙖 𝘼𝙙𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝘾𝘼𝙍) 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙧 proudly served as a vital partner in the 𝙇𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙪𝙡𝙞 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 spearheaded by the 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙤 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 (𝙃𝙎𝙊) 𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙮 23, 2025.

The mass circumcision mission, which successfully provided safe, free surgical procedures to around 200 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙤𝙮𝙨 across the city, was a massive collaborative effort. Alongside the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) Surgery Department and its Advisory Board, 𝙊𝙍𝙉𝘼𝙋 𝘾𝘼𝙍 lent its clinical expertise to ensure the highest standards of perioperative care and patient safety for the young beneficiaries during this important rite of passage.

Representing the heart and dedication of the chapter, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙄𝙖𝙣 𝙏𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙨 𝙊𝙍𝙉𝘼𝙋 𝘾𝘼𝙍’𝙨 𝙤𝙣-𝙩𝙝𝙚-𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙧. His hands-on involvement highlighted the organization’s commitment to community service, bridging the gap between hospital-grade operating room standards and public health outreach.

Through initiatives like these, ORNAP CAR continues to look beyond the hospital walls—bringing care, comfort, and professional surgical nursing excellence straight to the communities that need it most.

𝙈𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙊𝙍𝙉𝘼𝙋-𝘾𝘼𝙍

The Operating Room Nurses Association of the Philippines – Cordillera Administrative Region (𝙊𝙍𝙉𝘼𝙋-𝘾𝘼𝙍) chapter stands in deep solidarity with our brothers and sisters in 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙤 following the 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚 7.8 𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙠𝙚.

As an organization dedicated to care, healing, and public service, our hearts go out to the victims, the families who have lost loved ones, and the communities currently facing the painful aftermath of this disaster. We are keeping the families of those affected, as well as the brave first responders, medical personnel, and healthcare workers on the front lines of the rescue efforts, in our constant thoughts and prayers.

Though separated by geography, the nursing community is bound by a shared commitment to humanity. We extend our deepest sympathies and our unwavering support.

A Shared Vision for a Healthier Cordillera: Courtesy Call on PBGEN Ericson D. Dilag

Strengthening alliances for a safer, healthier community! Following the successful completion of our Medical and Dental Mission at Camp Dangwa, the leadership of ORNAP-CAR was privileged to pay a courtesy call on PBGEN Ericson D. Dilag, Regional Director of the Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO-CAR).

As perioperative nurses, our advocacy for community wellness relies heavily on building solid foundations with key government agencies and regional leadership. This courtesy call provided a meaningful opportunity to express our gratitude for the unwavering support of the PNP, while discussing future sustainable health initiatives for our personnel and their families.

When healthcare volunteers and regional leaders align, the impact on public welfare multiplies. Thank you, PBGEN Dilag and the entire PRO-CAR team, for welcoming ORNAP-CAR. Together, we continue to bridge gaps and elevate the standards of community care across the Cordillera. 🤝💙
