Ayon sa karawaran, ngayong summer season, tumataas ang panganib ng heat crapms, heat exhaustion at heat stroke na kabilang sa mga kondisyon na maaaring maging malubha at nakamamatay anila kung hindi agad maagapan.

Maaari anila itong maiwasan sa pamamagitan nang pag-iwas sa pag-inom ng alak, tsaa, kape at soft drinks, gayundin anila ang paglabas kapag sobrang tirik ang araw at kung kinakailangang lumabas ng bahay mainam anilang gumamit ng payong at saklob bilang panangga sa init.

Samantala, hinihimok naman ng kagawaran ang lahat na ugaliin ang pag-inom ng tubig at magsuot ng kumportableng damit upang maibsan ang nararanasang init.

After two nurses in West Bengal, India, tested positive for virus infection, the central and state government health agencies have enhanced surveillance, laboratory testing, and field investigations.

196 contact persons linked to the confirmed cases have been identified, traced, monitored, and tested. All contacts have been found asymptomatic and tested negative for Nipah virus.

No additional Nipah cases have been detected so far. The situation is being monitored.
