Your ears are naturally self-cleaning, and inserting cotton buds into the ear canal can:

❌ Push earwax deeper
❌ Cause irritation or infection
❌ Injure the eardrum

Know the Warning Signs of Head and Neck Cancer

Don't ignore symptoms that last longer than two weeks:
🔹 A persistent mouth ulcer
🔹 A lump in the neck
🔹 Hoarseness or voice changes
🔹 Difficulty swallowing
🔹 Persistent sore throat
🔹 Red or white patches inside the mouth

Risk factors include to***co use, excessive alcohol consumption, HPV infection, and prolonged sun exposure (for lip cancer).

Early detection leads to better treatment outcomes. If symptoms persist, consult an ENT–Head and Neck Specialist promptly.

⚠️ Seek medical evaluation if a neck lump:
✔️ Persists for more than two weeks
✔️ Continues to grow
✔️ Feels firm or fixed
✔️ Is accompanied by difficulty swallowing, voice changes, or unexplained weight loss

Swimmer’s Ear: Protect Your Ears This Summer 🏊‍♂️

Swimmer’s ear (otitis externa) is an infection of the outer ear caused by trapped water that allows bacteria to grow.

How to avoid:
• Dry ears well after swimming
• Tilt head to remove trapped water
• Avoid inserting cotton buds or objects into the ear

Watch for ear pain, itching, or discharge.
