June is Uterine Cancer Awareness Month, and one of the most important things women can do is recognize the warning signs early.

Possible symptoms of uterine cancer include:

▫️ Heavier or prolonged menstrual bleeding
▫️ Bleeding between periods
▫️ Pelvic pain or pressure
▫️ Unexplained weight loss
▫️ Pain during urination or bowel movements

Originally, GLP-1 drugs were made for diabetes.
Pero ngayon, mas marami pang possible benefits ang nakikita ng science beyond blood sugar and weight loss.

Recently, retatrutide showed around 28% weight loss in 80 weeks, isa sa pinaka powerful obesity drug results so far.

For context 😊
• Ozempic = semaglutide (GLP-1)
• Mounjaro = tirzepatide (GLP-1 + GIP)
• Retatrutide = newer “triple agonist”
(GLP-1 + GIP + glucagon receptor)

At the same time, researchers are also studying possible links ng GLP-1 drugs sa lower risks of:
• heart disease
• kidney disease
• fatty liver
• sleep apnea
• at even some cancers

BUT important reminder.
Yung cancer findings are still early and observational. Hindi ibig sabihin nito na “cancer cure” na agad ang GLP-1 drugs. More studies pa rin ang kailangan.

Still, ang interesting isipin na isang drug class lang na ginawa originally for diabetes… keeps showing more possible uses habang mas pinag-aaralan siya.
