A milestone moment for the Medical Technology profession 🇵🇭

The Medical Technology Bill moves forward following its approval during the initial deliberation and consideration of House Bill Nos. 131, 822, 2071, 3854, 4602 and 4607 of the Committee on Civil Service and Professional Regulation of the House of Representatives led by its Chairperson Hon. Laarni Lavin Roque.

A collective step forward in strengthening the future of Filipino Medical Technologists.

🧼 Kontra Mikrobyo, Barangay ay Protektado! 🦠

The PAMET Nueva Vizcaya–Ifugao Chapter, in partnership with Safeguard Philippines, successfully conducted a community health initiative in Brgy. Salvacion, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya last April 11, 2026, promoting proper handwashing and awareness against everyday germs.

Through interactive discussions, handwashing demonstrations, and community participation, residents, especially our young learners, were empowered with knowledge on how proper hygiene can help prevent the spread of common illnesses.

This activity is part of our continuous commitment to bring health education closer to the community and promote simple yet powerful practices that protect our families and barangays.

Thank you to the barangay officials, Sangguniang Kabataan Salvacion, volunteers, partners, and to all the people who made this a successful event!

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

As the Accredited Professional Organization (APO) and the sole officially recognized professional organization of Medical Technologists in the Philippines, the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists (PAMET) will officially represent the profession at the Senate Hearing on the proposed Medical Technology Bill.

The hearing is scheduled on February 23, 2026 (Monday), at 11: 00 AM, to be held at the Senate of the Philippines.

In our capacity as the APO, PAMET carries the mandate to serve as the official voice of Filipino Medical Technologists in matters affecting the profession. Our participation in this legislative hearing signifies our unwavering commitment to advancing the welfare, professional standards, compensation, and future growth of Medical Technologists nationwide.

We approach this significant milestone with honor, responsibility, and unity firmly advocating for a strengthened and responsive Medical Technology Act that reflects the evolving role of Medical Technologists in the healthcare system.
