JUNE 8, 2026 โ€” Honesty took center stage at Binga National High School on the first day of School Year 2026โ€“2027 as learners who voluntarily surrendered lost items to the Office of the School Head were awarded Certificates of Recognition during the observance of W.A.T.C.H. (We Advocate Time Consciousness and Honesty) Month.

The recognition highlighted the importance of integrity and responsibility among learners. By returning lost belongings to their rightful owners, the awardees demonstrated commendable values and set a positive example for the entire school community.

Binga National High School continues to foster a culture of honesty and responsibility among its learners, encouraging them to uphold these values in their everyday lives.

JUNE 1, 2026 - As Binga National High School officially opened School Year 2026โ€“2027, the CARE Center, through the initiative of Guidance Associate Kurt B. Capsula, facilitated a series of psychosocial activities for learners during the first day of classes under the Opening Block.

To help learners ease into the new school year and create a welcoming environment, a Learners' Check-In activity was conducted, providing students with an opportunity to express how they were feeling and share their thoughts and experiences as they returned to school.

This was followed by a lively Human Bingo activity, which encouraged learners to interact with their schoolmates, discover common interests, and build new connections. The activity fostered a sense of belonging, cooperation, and positive peer relationships among students.

In the afternoon, the spirit of camaraderie and active participation continued through a Community Dance facilitated by Georgie Bacquian, Guidance Designate, together with Ginna A. Anno, Kharine Sapdit, and Kline Hyzon Tindaan, with the invaluable assistance of the Grade 11 learners. The activity brought together students from different grade levels, promoting unity, cooperation, and a sense of community through movement and fun.

The Opening Block activities aimed to support learners' psychosocial well-being and promote a safe and nurturing school environment as they begin another academic journey.

Through initiatives such as these, the CARE Center continues to uphold its commitment to promoting the holistic development and well-being of every Binga NHS learner, reminding them that they are seen, heard, and valued from the very first day of school. As the school transitions into the Instructional Block, these meaningful experiences serve as a strong foundation for a year of learning, growth, and connection.

The first week of classes has come to an end, and we want you to know this:

Showing up matters.

Whether you felt excited, nervous, happy, or overwhelmed, your presence this week is something to be proud of. Adjusting to a new school year takes time, and every effort you made is deeply appreciated.

Some of you made new friends. Some are still finding your way. Some had great days, while others simply did their best to get through each dayโ€”and that's okay.

As we begin the Instructional Block next week, carry with you the courage that brought you through the first week.

On the first day of enrollment, June 1, the CARE Center welcomed incoming Grade 7 learners through a Learner Check-In session.

More than completing forms and requirements, enrollment is also an opportunity to get to know our learners. Through simple conversations and meaningful interactions, learners were encouraged to share their interests, experiences, aspirations, and concerns as they prepare to begin their high school journey at Binga National High School.

These check-in sessions help create a welcoming and supportive environment where learners feel heard, valued, and connected from the very start.
