We just wrapped Season 1 of Unpolished Wisdom!

And I’m stopping to actually say that. Because we don’t do this enough — pause and acknowledge what we’ve built before running toward what’s next.

This one matters to me.

When I started this, I didn’t know what I was making. I just knew the conversations needed to happen. What I didn’t expect was how much I’d learn — not just from the guests, but about myself. Every interview held up a mirror I wasn’t always ready for.

That’s the thing about honest conversations. They have a way of finding you too.

Season 2 is coming. And I’m more ready for it than I’ve ever been.

There are no difficult conversations.
There are just conversations you don’t want to have.

and I say this a lot at TWP — and we’ve lived it. Every conversation we didn’t want to have has made our working relationship exponentially better.

Life lessons from Lyla, my 4-legged life coach 🐾

Lyla doesn’t bark at everyone for attention. She doesn’t perform. She simply sits at the dining table — on her hind legs, chin up, eyes forward — and waits. Not for just anyone. For her dad. The weakest link. The one guaranteed to cave.

Lesson 1: Stop trying so hard with everyone. Find your person and hold eye contact until they break.

She has a brother, Russo, a bichon frise. She did not ask for him. She has made her feelings abundantly clear. And yet — if he gets left outside? She’s the first to sound the alarm. If anyone comes for him? She forgets she’s smaller than him.

Lesson 2: You don’t have to like your people to protect your people. That’s just loyalty doing its thing.

Unless there’s food. Then it’s every dog for herself.

Lesson 3: Even the most loyal relationships have their limits. Know yours.

What a weekend.
Grateful to .labs .tin for the opportunity to do the work I love most — in a room full of humans willing to go there.
We looked at how the past shows up in the present. We met our inner child. We let the body release what it’s been holding. And somewhere between the deep work and the laughter, real connections and friendships were made.

We spend years building a life that looks like we’ve “succeeded” from the outside. But what happens when the applause starts to bring emptiness?

Siva Shankar Jayaraj’s story began in a kampong in Malacca. A zinc-roof house. No address. One room. By the time he realized he was “poor,” he was already standing on some of the biggest corporate stages in the region.

Then came the question that surfaces in the quiet: “Was it me? Or was I just riding a very well-branded rocket?”
