Yesterday, June 24, 2026, at the Municipal Conference Room, the CMU BIDANI Team actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) Meeting and conducted a courtesy call for the project, โ€œCapability Building Utilizing the Barangay Integrated Development Approach for Nutrition Improvement (BIDANI) in Bukidnon.โ€

The activity was graced by Hon. Mayor Jose Joel P. Doromal, together with MNAO Sir Melfred Borja and his team, and attended by key stakeholders from Maramag, demonstrating a strong commitment to collaborative efforts in improving nutrition outcomes in the community. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’š

The meeting featured an insightful presentation of the BIDANI Project by Project Leader and Study Leader 1, Dr. Emmanuel P. Leaรฑo, together with PJ Galladora, RND (Extension Aide), and Jocelyn S. Hernane (Collaborator, Studies 1, 2, and 3).

More than just a quarterly meeting, the activity highlighted the importance of partnership, shared vision, and collective action in advancing sustainable nutrition programs and empowering communities toward better health and well-being.

Last June 4, the BIDANI Program gathered with the Barangay Secretaries and representatives from the partner barangays of Dologon, South Poblacion, Panadtalan, and San Roque, Maramag, Bukidnon for a meaningful BMIS Orientation and Feedbacking Activity.

The session was spearheaded by Rinante M. Buntod, who presented key BMIS updates and facilitated discussions aimed at enhancing barangay data management and reporting systems.

Also present during the activity were Reymlani Sullera, Joy M. Pacatang, and PJ Galladora, whose continued support contributes to the successful implementation of BIDANI initiatives.

Through open dialogue, shared experiences, and constructive feedback, we continue to foster stronger partnerships and empower our communities through informed decision-making.

As part of the audit process, the University Extension Office and its units were evaluated, including the Capability Building Unit, where the Barangay Integrated Development Approach for Nutrition Improvement (BIDANI) Program is lodged. โœ…

๐Ÿ“ The BIDANI Team successfully conducted a meeting with the PPIC members, together with the Barangay Kagawads and committee heads of Brgy. Panadtalan, for the finalization of the Barangay Integrated Development Plan (BIDP).

Also present were the BIDANI Team, headed by Reymlani P. Sullera, Collaborator for BIDANI Studies 1, 2, and 3, together with Project Leader Dr. Emmanuel P. Leaรฑo, Dr. Allene Mae N. CMU BIDANI successfully participated in the meeting of the House Committee on Rural Development held on 19 May 2026 at the Ramon V. Mitra Building, Quezon City, where discussions focused on proposed measures to institutionalize the Barangay Integrated Development Approach for Nutrition Improvement (BIDANI) as a linkage program among higher education institutions and local communities.

Representing Central Mindanao University, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐„๐ฆ๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ฎ๐ž๐ฅ ๐. ๐‹๐ž๐šรฑ๐จ, Project Leader of BIDANI, and ๐‘๐ž๐ฒ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ข ๐. ๐’๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ซ๐š attended the meeting and contributed insights and recommendations drawn from CMU BIDANIโ€™s experience in community-based nutrition and rural development initiatives.

On May 14, 2026, at the NSTP Office, Central Mindanao University, a courtesy call and collaborative discussion was held between the BIDANI team under Study 3: Implementation of the Participatory Nutrition Enhancement Approach (PNEA), led by Dr. Allene Mae N. The discussion centered on the strengthening of the Nutrition in Emergencies initiative and the alignment of strategies for effective and sustainable community-based nutrition interventions.

๐Ÿ“ At the same time, a PNEA session was conducted with mothers, BHWs, and BNSs. With BSND students as speakers and under the guidance of Dr. Allene Mae Marapao, along with our ever supportive Project Leader Dr. Emmanuel P. Leaรฑo the activity emphasized proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices within the community.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ One of the highlights of the day was the cooking demonstration, featuring nutrient powder used in preparing delicious and nutritious recipes such as porridge and polvoronโ€”proving that healthy food can be simple, affordable, and enjoyable. Lami ug masustansya gyud!
