BHW DAY 2026
“BHW: Bayani Hanggang Wakas, Forever Committed, Now Digitally Connected”
The celebration of Barangay Health Workers (BHW) Day 2026 in Cabadbaran City was successfully conducted, highlighting the invaluable contributions of BHWs in the community. The event was graced by distinguished guests including City Administrator Francis Denise “Isyat” Amante, OIC City Health Officer Dr. Mark L. Caseñas, and SP on Health Hon. Ruby Mae Christine C. Ayo, M.D.
One of the highlights of the morning program was the lecture on Cervical Cancer Awareness delivered by guest speaker Arlyn Escaseñas, RN. The session provided essential knowledge and awareness to the BHWs, equipping them with information that will help strengthen their role in promoting community health.
In the afternoon, the celebration continued with the much-anticipated BHW Queen 2026, showcasing the talents, confidence, and unity of the different clusters. Cluster 4 was declared as the BHW Queen 2026, followed by Cluster 3 as 1st Runner-Up, Cluster 2 as 2nd Runner-Up, and Cluster 1 as 3rd Runner-Up.
Subsequently, the BHW Assembly was conducted, marking an important transition of leadership. The program was formally opened by the former BHW officers led by Barangay Captain Norma Albiva, followed by the official turnover of responsibilities to the new set of officers headed by Cherryl Magtig-Aldao.
Overall, the activity was a meaningful and successful celebration that recognized the dedication, commitment, and evolving role of Barangay Health Workers as modern-day heroes—steadfast in service and now embracing digital connectivity in delivering quality healthcare to the community.
