DOH: PROTEKTAHAN ANG SARILI LABAN SA MATINDING INIT

Ang El Niño ay nangyayari kapag umiinit ang malaking bahagi ng Karagatang Pasipiko. Dahil dito, mas mainit ang panahon at mas kaunti ang ulan sa loob ng ilang buwan. May ulan pa rin, pero hindi ito kasing dalas ng karaniwan.

Kung may makitang palatandaan ng heat stroke, tumawag agad sa National Emergency Hotline 911 o dalhin sa pinakamalapit na health facility sa inyong lugar.

REGULAR NA BREAST CANCER SCREENING, SUSI SA MAAGAP NA PAGGALING!

Nananatiling nangungunang uri ng kanser sa Pilipinas ang Breast Cancer na may higit 33,000 na bagong kaso at higit 11,000 na namamatay taon-taon. Dahil sa patuloy na pagtaas ng mga kaso nito, mahalagang matuklasan ang sakit habang maaga pa.

Upang maprotektahan ang ating kababaihan, inirerekomenda ng Department of Health (DOH) ang mga sumusunod:

MANDATORY SCREENING (EDAD 50–69 TAONG GULANG):
Magpatingin sa pinakamalapit na health facility para sa Clinical Breast Examination (CBE) o Mammogram bawat 2 taon. Ito ang pinakakritikal na paraan upang matukoy ang kanser sa pinakamaagang yugto.

SA TAHANAN:
Maging pamilyar sa sariling katawan sa pamamagitan ng Breast Self-Examination (BSE). Kung may makapang kakaibang bukol o anumang pagbabago sa dibdib, magpakonsulta agad sa pinakamalapit na doktor o health center.

Huwag matakot magpasuri! Ang maagang pagtuklas ay nagbibigay ng mas malaking tsansa sa paggaling!

The Health Services Office conducted a campus visit at the Cavite State University–Bacoor Campus on September 15, 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen the delivery of health and wellness services across the University.

The visit was led by university physician, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐲𝐞 𝐂. 𝐋𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐨, together with university dentist, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐆𝐚𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐎. 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐭-𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐧, assisted by the campus nurse, 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐀𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐨 and staff.

The activity provided an opportunity to assess the health services and facilities of the campus, address healthcare concerns, and reinforce the University’s commitment to providing accessible and quality medical and dental services to its students, faculty, and staff.

Through initiatives such as regular campus visits, the Health Services Office continues to uphold its commitment to fostering a healthy, safe, and supportive environment for the entire Cavite State University community.

📈 Top Health Concerns Among Filipinos in 2026

The Philippine Statistics Authority reports the top causes of death in the country for January to February 2026 (Provisional as of 30 June 2026).

Leading the list were:

❤️ Ischaemic heart diseases
🌬️ Pneumonia
🧠 Cerebrovascular diseases
🔬 Neoplasms
🩸 Diabetes mellitus

While the numbers reflect ongoing health challenges, they also remind us to take small steps toward better lifestyle choices, regular check-ups, and stronger support for community health.
