Senate Votes to Release Long-Hidden Epstein Files 📂

In a rare bipartisan move, the U.S. Senate approved a measure to make previously sealed Epstein files public, unlocking court documents, financial records, and interviews.

Advocates argue this could shed light on criminal networks, trafficking, and powerful figures linked to Epstein’s crimes.

Critics warn that the full context may lead to political fallout — but many believe transparency is overdue.

2025 State Laws Crack Down on AI, Guns & Social Media 📜

This year, multiple U.S. states passed major new laws targeting artificial intelligence, gun control, and social media regulation.
From limiting AI-generated deepfakes to banning certain firearm accessories, local governments are responding to rising tech risk and public safety concerns.

These laws could set national precedents — and force a reckoning with how tech and rights intersect in America.

Supreme Court Keeps $4B in SNAP Benefit Payments on Hold During Shutdown 🚨

The U.S. Supreme Court has extended a temporary hold on full SNAP (food stamp) payments, blocking a lower-court order that would have released $4 billion in aid amid the ongoing government shutdown.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson issued the administrative stay, pausing disbursement while an appeals court reviews the case.
With 42 million Americans depending on SNAP, the delay is fueling uncertainty and hardship — and advocates say only Congress can fully resolve the crisis.

Where it stands now: unless the shutdown ends or courts act, many could face reduced or delayed food aid in the coming days.
