Today, we covered a full agenda packed with productive and insightful discussions. We are optimistic about the positive outcomes of these deliberations.

Today marks the end of the 3-day Internal Verification conducted under the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP).

The activity was attended by the PMNP Team, composed of representatives from various sectors, including DOH-NNC, DSWD, and the LGU Nutrition Office, with the presence of Atty. Annaliza Jayme, representing the Office of the Municipal Mayor.

Also present were our dedicated nurses, midwives, our Doctor to the Barrio and the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), who actively participated in today’s discussion and presentation of the results of the Internal Verification for Tranche 3.

The discussion was led by our Regional Project Officer, Ma’am Norre Jean B. Delos Santos, who presented and discussed the results, key findings, and important observations from the three-day verification activity.

This activity serves as an important step in assessing and strengthening the implementation of nutrition programs and interventions in the municipality. We extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and support to make this activity successful.

PMNP HCSC HOUSE-TO-HOUSE VALIDATION OFFICIALLY COMMENCES!

Today marks the official start of the 2-Day HCSC House-to-House Validation under the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP).

The PMNP Team, composed of representatives from DOH-NNC, DSWD, and the LGU Nutrition Office, conducted house-to-house validation activities in the four barangays scheduled for today: Barangay New Bago, Barangay Tubigagmanok, Barangay San Roque, and Barangay Langub.

With the valuable assistance and cooperation of the Barangay Nutrition Committees and our dedicated Community Volunteers (CVWs), the team visited households to conduct the validation and ensure the accuracy of the gathered information.

This collaborative effort highlights the importance of working together across different sectors and communities toward strengthening nutrition programs and improving the health and well-being of our constituents.

🤝 Together, we continue to work towards a healthier and better-nourished community!

The Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) officially commenced its 3-day HCSC House-to-House Validation today.

The PMNP Team, composed of representatives from various sectors, including DOH-NNC, DSWD, and the LGU Nutrition Office, started the activity with a courtesy call to the Municipal Mayor, represented by Atty. Annaliza Jayme.

Following the courtesy call, the team proceeded to the two barangays scheduled for validation today Barangay Agbanga and Barangay San Isidro to conduct the house-to-house validation.

This activity is part of the continuing efforts to ensure accurate validation and effective implementation of nutrition interventions in the community.

Alam niyo ba na mayroong mga batas ang Pilipinas na layon ay protektahan, suportahan, at itaguyod ang kalidad ng pagpapasuso? 🤱

🙋🏽‍♀️Ang Philippine Milk Code o Executive Order No. 51, series of 1986 ay isinabatas para dito. IPINAGBABAWAL ng Philippine Milk Code ang promotion ng mga inumin at pagkain bilang pamalit sa gatas ng ina (breast milk substitutes), at mga bote at tsupon, lalo na kung ito ay:
👩🏻‍⚕️ manggagaling sa mga health workers gaya ng mga duktor, mga nars, at mga kumadrona
🏥 nagaganap sa mga health facility at tindahan, at
💻 sa iba’t ibang anyo ng media, kasama ang mga matatagpuan gamit ang internet.

🙋🏽‍♀️Ang Republic Act 10028 naman, o ang Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009 ay nagtataguyod ang pagpapasuso sa mga pribado at pampublikong lugar, pagpapatatag ng batas tungkol sa rooming-in at hindi paghihiwalay ng mga nanay at bagong silang na sanggol sa mga ospital, kung walang komplikasyon, para sila ay makapag-Unang Yakap at breastfeeding initiation sa unang oras ng buhay ng sanggol.

Sama-sama nating protektahan at suportahan ang breastfeeding para sa isang mas malusog na first 1,000 days ni Mommy at Baby. Patuloy na isinusulong ng Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project o PMNP ang pagpapasuso bilang pundasyon ng malusog na simula para sa bawat sanggol ngayong !

: Lakas ng Komunidad, Suporta kay Mommy!

Mas nagiging magaan ang breastfeeding journey ni Mommy kapag may komunidad na handang umalalay. Sa tamang serbisyo, kaalaman, at suporta, mas nagiging panatag ang bawat hakbang. Paano makatutulong ang komunidad?
👨‍👩‍👧 Turuan ang mga Tatay kung paano masuportahan si Mommy sa breastfeeding journey.
🤱 Magbigay ng tamang gabay sa ligtas at masustansyang pagpapasuso at pag-aalaga sa sarili.
🏥 Hikayatin ang mga magulang na magpacheck-up at magpa-breastfeeding counseling upang mapanatiling malusog ang mag-ina.
🌱 Panatilihing abot-kamay ang mga serbisyong pangkalusugan at nutrisyon para sa bawat pamilya.

Ngayong Agosto, ipinagdiriwang ng Department of Health at Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project o PMNP ang . Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works!

Nahinto sa pagpapasuso nang ilang araw, linggo, o buwan? Huwag mawalan ng pag-asa, Mommy! Posible pa ring makabalik sa pagpapasuso sa pamamagitan ng relactation! 🤱💛

Ang relactation ay isang proseso kung saan pinasisigla muli ang katawan ni mommy para makagawa ng breastmilk. Ito ay nangangailangan ng sapat na panahon, tiyaga at tamang gabay mula sa Health Workers. 👶🏥

Tandaan: Ang pagpapasuso ay hakbang tungo sa mas malusog na simula ni baby. Alamin ang tamang impormasyon at huwag mag-atubiling humingi ng suporta! Kaisa ang Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project o PMNP sa pagdiriwang ng . Breastfeeding for a Sustainable Start in Life: Strengthen What Works!

The Cebu Provincial Health Office, led by Ms. Ma. Katrina Advincula, Health Program Officer II, successfully conducted the 2026 Data Quality Check for the Field Health Services Information System (FHSIS) with the Asturias RHU staff.

Commendations are extended to all Rural Health Midwives (RHMs) for their cooperation and excellent performance during the validation process. Job well done!👍🫶
