🩸 BLOOD LETTING ACTIVITY FOR ISTIGHFAR 🩸
The Bangsamoro Voluntary Blood Services Program (BVBSP) of the Ministry of Health – BARMM proudly participated in the Blood Letting Activity for Istighfar (Instilling Sabar Through Individual's Good Heart for Allah's Reward) held on June 30, 2026, at Brgy. Batulawan, Malidegao, Special Geographic Area (SGA), BARMM.
This noble initiative was spearheaded by the Special Geographic Area Development Authority (SGADA), which has continuously organized and sustained this meaningful activity over the years to promote voluntary blood donation and strengthen the culture of humanitarian service within the Special Geographic Area.
📊 Activity Highlights🩸 Total Blood Bags Collected: 46👨 Majority of the volunteer donors were male, reflecting the strong support and active participation of the local community in this life-saving cause.
The Bangsamoro Voluntary Blood Services Program extends its sincere appreciation to the Special Geographic Area Development Authority (SGADA) for its unwavering commitment and leadership in organizing this annual initiative. We also recognize our partner agencies, the SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Blood Center Collecting Team, community leaders, and, most especially, the volunteer blood donors whose generosity made this activity a success.
Together, we continue to promote voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation and help ensure a safe and adequate blood supply for patients in need.

🩸 MOBILE BLOOD DONATION & ADVOCACY ACTIVITIES🩸

The Bangsamoro Voluntary Blood Services Program (BVBSP)of the Ministry of Health – BARMM extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in and supported the Mobile Blood Donation and Advocacy Activities conducted on June 27, 2026 in Barangays RH 3 , RH 11 and at the CRMC Dormitory Cotabato City.

These simultaneous blood donation drives were made possible through the collaborative efforts of the City Health Office of Cotabato City,under the leadership of Dr. Harris, Head of the City Health Office of Cotabato City, in coordination with Ma'am Marlyn Mending, City Blood Program Coordinator, in partnership with the Bangsamoro Voluntary Blood Services Program (BVBSP)and the SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Blood Center Collecting Team.

🩸World Blood Donor Day In Cotabato City 🩸

In celebration of World Blood Donor Day, with the theme “One Drop of Humanity: Give Blood, Save Lives,” a mobile blood donation activity was successfully conducted at Rosary Heights 8, Cotabato City. This was made possible through the collaboration of the City Government of Cotabato, headed by Mayor Bruce Matabalao; the Barangay Local Government Unit of Rosary Heights 8, headed by Hon. Allan Biruar Arumpac Jr., Barangay Captain; the Office on Health Services, led by Dr. Harris R. Ali; and the CRMC SOCCSKSARGEN Blood Center Collecting Team Unit. Appreciation is also extended to the Bangsamoro Voluntary Blood Services Program–MOH for providing tokens.

With the support of the community volunteers of Rosary Heights 8, a total of 37 units of blood were successfully collected, helping save lives and support patients in need.

Blood donation remains one of the most essential and life-saving acts in public health. It helps ensure the continuous availability of a safe blood supply for patients undergoing surgery, trauma care, childbirth complications, cancer treatment, and other medical emergencies. Each donated unit of blood can help save up to three lives, making voluntary blood donation a powerful expression of compassion, solidarity, and community responsibility.

The Ministry of Health–BARMM, through the Bangsamoro Voluntary Blood Services Program (BVBSP) headed by Dr. Benjamil Orishi U. Tibumbo, RN, MD, together with Jessa Astra D. Ali, RMT, MD, Normala M. Barauntong, RMT, Rehana A. Abe, and Yasser A. Ali, attended and supported the Mobile Blood Donation Activity held on June 22, 2026 at Barangay Buricain Pahamuddin, Special Geographic Area (SGA)-BARMM.
The activity was facilitated by the Special Geographic Area Development Authority (SGADA) and Alhuffaz Charity Foundation in Southern Philippines, Inc., in collaboration with the Union of Muslim Youth Organization, Inc. (UMYOi), Ministry of the Interior and Local Government (MILG), Ministry of Health (MOH-BARMM), Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC), and the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Barangay Buricain Pahamuddin.
The activity aimed to promote voluntary blood donation and strengthen the availability of safe blood for patients in need. Following the orientation and donor screening procedures, blood collection was conducted by the CRMC blood collecting team with the support of the MOH-BARMM BVBSP personnel.
The activity was successfully conducted through the cooperation of all partner agencies and community volunteers, resulting in the collection of 30 units of blood. This initiative demonstrated the commitment of the participating organizations to advancing public health services and fostering a culture of volunteerism within the community.

🩸 World Blood Donor Day Celebration in Basilan 🩸

In celebration of World Blood Donor Day, the Bangsamoro Voluntary Blood Services Program (BVBSP) of the Ministry of Health–BARMM, led by Dr. Muhammad U. Candao, RMT, MD, together with members of the BVBSP team, attended a series of Mobile Blood Donation (MBD) activities across Basilan Province to promote voluntary, non-remunerated blood donation and strengthen the local blood supply.
An MBD activity in the Municipality of Maluso, supported by Hon. Mayor Kaizer Hattaman, successfully collected 47 blood units through the participation of uniformed personnel, local government employees, and community volunteers.
Another MBD activity in Datu Dizal, Lamitan City, was held in partnership with Hon. Mayor Oric Furigay and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Mika Puri, resulting in the collection of 67 blood units. During the activity, the Regional Medical Coordinator personally donated blood to encourage voluntary blood donation.
The BVBSP team also attended an MBD activity at the Basilan Provincial Capitol Grounds, organized by the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) Basilan, which generated 71 blood units.
In addition, the team conducted a monitoring visit to the Blood Service Facility of Lamitan District Hospital and paid a courtesy visit to the Provincial Government of Basilan. The team conveyed its appreciation to Governor Mujiv S. Hataman for his continued support of health initiatives and voluntary blood donation programs in the province.
These activities highlight the strong collaboration among MOH-BARMM, local government units, health institutions, and community partners in ensuring a safe and adequate blood supply for Basilan.

🩸 Mobile Blood Donation Activity – Datu Dizal, Lamitan City.

In celebration of World Blood Donor Day, the Mobile Blood Donation Activity held in Datu Dizal, Lamitan City, successfully generated 67 blood unitsin support of a safe and sufficient blood supply for Basilan. The activity was made possible through the partnership of Hon. Mayor Oric Furigay and Provincial Health Officer Dr. Mika Puri. Demonstrating leadership and commitment to the cause, the Regional Medical Coordinator personally donated blood to encourage more voluntary blood donors.

The BVBSP team also conducted a monitoring visit to the Blood Service Facility of Lamitan District Hospital to assess and strengthen blood service delivery. A courtesy visit was likewise paid to the Provincial Government of Basilan to express appreciation for its continued support of health programs and blood donation initiatives. Due to Governor Mujiv S. Hataman's prior official commitments, the team was warmly welcomed by Mr. Manny C. Muarip, Chief Administrative Officer, on behalf of the Governor.

Organized by the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) Basilan, the Mobile Blood Donation Activity at the Basilan Provincial Capitol Grounds successfully collected 71 blood units.This remarkable achievement reflects the commitment of government employees, partner agencies, and volunteers in supporting life-saving blood donation efforts. Thank you to the Provincial Government of Basilan and Governor Mujiv S. Hataman for their continued support of health initiatives and voluntary blood donation programs.
