Ngayong ASEAN Dengue Day, na may temang “ASEAN United: Zero Dengue Deaths – A Future We Build Together by 2030,” tuwing alas-kuwatro, ugaliing gawin ang TAOB, TAKTAK, TUYO, at TAKIP upang makontra ang dengue!

🦟 𝗧𝗔𝗢𝗕 – Taubin ang mga lalagyang may naipong tubig.

🦟 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗧𝗔𝗞 – Taktakin ang mga lalagyan upang matanggal ang itlog ng lamok.

🦟 𝗧𝗨𝗬𝗢– Alisin ang naipong tubig at panatilihing malinis ang paligid.

🦟 𝗧𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗣 – Takpan ang mga imbakan ng tubig upang hindi pamugaran ng lamok.

Ang pagsunod sa 4𝗧 𝗞𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔 𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗨𝗘 ay simpleng hakbang na makakatulong upang maiwasan ang pagdami ng lamok at protektahan ang pamilya laban sa dengue.

DOH: HUWAG IPAGWALANG-BAHALA ANG SEVERE DENGUE SYMPTOMS

Ang dengue ay maaaring lumala at mauwi sa malubhang kondisyon. Kung nakakaranas ng matinding pananakit ng tiyan, paulit-ulit na pagsusuka, pagdurugo, pagsusuka o pagdumi na may dugo, matinding panghihina, o pagiging balisa, huwag nang maghintay.

Kapag may sintomas, magpatingin agad sa pinakamalapit na health facility. Maagang pagpapatingin at agarang pagkilos ay mahalaga upang maiwasan ang malubhang komplikasyon ng dengue.

Samantala, makiisa sa 4Ts—Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, Takip—upang maiwasan ang pagdami ng lamok na maaaring magdala ng dengue.

DOH: MAGING HANDA SA EPEKTO NG HAZE SA KALUSUGAN!
Dahil sa hanging Habagat, umabot na sa ilang bahagi ng Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao ang usok mula sa forest fires sa Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Maaaring magdulot ang haze ng hirap sa paghinga, pag-ubo, pananakit ng dibdib, pangangati o pagluluha ng mga mata, at paglala ng mga sakit sa baga tulad ng hika. Dobleng pag-iingat ang kailangan para sa mga bata, matatanda, at mga may dati nang sakit sa baga o puso.
Habang nagpapatuloy ang banta ng haze, mag-suot ng mask kung lalabas ng bahay. Alamin ang lagay ng hangin sa inyong lugar at unahin ang kaligtasan. Maging handa sa banta ng Haze!

The SOCCSKSARGEN General Hospital (SGH) proudly joined the National Surgical Outreach Day 2026, a nationwide surgical outreach initiative that brought together hospitals and surgical teams from different parts of the country, united by one goal—to bring safe, quality, and accessible surgical care closer to Filipino communities.

Held in celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the Philippine College of Surgeons (PCS), participating hospitals across the country conducted their outreach activities with a simultaneous cutting time at exactly 9:00 AM, symbolizing the unity and shared commitment of Filipino surgeons and healthcare workers to service, excellence, and equitable access to surgical care.

At SGH, the activity was led by Dr. Che-ron P. Gampong, Head of the Department of Surgery, together with the Anesthesiology Team led by Dr. Joel Blue L. Alcayde, Head of the Department of Anesthesia, and our dedicated Operating Room Nurses and OR Personnel.

Working together, the team successfully performed a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, demonstrating SGH’s commitment to providing safe, quality, and minimally invasive surgical care to our patients.

Making the activity possible was also the important contribution of our IHOMP staff, who worked alongside the surgical and operating room teams to ensure that the technical requirements for the nationwide activity were in place. From the camera setup and Zoom connection to the microphone and speaker, their technical expertise helped maintain a smooth connection and allowed SGH to be part of this historic event alongside participating hospitals across the country.

The outreach was organized through the Philippine College of Surgeons – S.U.R.E. (Surgery in the Underserved Regions and for Education), highlighting the PCS’s continuing commitment to reaching underserved communities and promoting equitable access to surgical care.

More than the successful completion of a surgical procedure, this activity was a reflection of teamwork, dedication, and a shared heart for service. From the operating room to the technical setup behind the scenes, every member of the SGH team played a part in making the day possible.

We are proud to have been part of this historic nationwide initiative as we celebrate 90 years of the Philippine College of Surgeons and its enduring commitment to serving the Filipino people.

Together, we continue to make a difference, one patient, one operation, and one act of service at a time. 💙🩺🇵🇭
