The Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital (NOPH) officially inaugurated its new state-of-the-art Dialysis Center on September 29, 2026, marking a significant milestone in public healthcare in the province.

Under the leadership of Governor Chaco Sagarbarria, the Provincial Government continues to prioritize the expansion of healthcare services and bring essential medical care closer to the people of Negros Oriental.

With the opening of the new facility, patients who have been on the dialysis waiting list can now have greater access to modern and expanded dialysis services, helping address the growing need for renal care in the province.

The inauguration, blessing, and ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together provincial and hospital officials, healthcare professionals, and representatives from the Department of Health – Negros Island Region.

Today, September 21, 2026, the Department of Health – Regulation, Licensing, and Enforcement Division (DOH-RLED) visited the Negros Oriental Provincial Hospital (NOPH) to conduct an assessment of the expansion of its Hemodialysis Building, increasing its capacity from 11 to 23 dialysis stations.

Following the assessment, NOPH is now granted its License to Operate (LTO) for the expanded Hemodialysis Unit, marking an important milestone in strengthening the hospital’s dialysis services and commitment to quality healthcare delivery.

The expansion will increase access to hemodialysis services, accommodate more patients, and help reduce the burden of regular dialysis treatment, bringing essential healthcare closer to the people of Negros Oriental.

Through the initiative of Governor Manuel “Chaco” L. Sagarbarria, the NOPH Hemodialysis Unit has expanded from 11 to 23 dialysis stations to help address the patients currently on the waiting list.

Following the DOH-RLED assessment on September 21, 2026, NOPH was granted its License to Operate (LTO) for the expanded unit.

This milestone brings more accessible and quality renal care closer to the people of Negros Oriental, helping accommodate more patients in need of regular dialysis treatment.
