My Online Journal | Shuttle Open Jakarta 🇲🇨

Daves and I flew to Jakarta for the Shuttle Open event after seeing it on IG around last week of June. We secured our event tickets as soon as they became available, and even asked if VIP tickets would be offered, but only Gold tickets were available online.

When Shuttle Open opened its meet-and-greet contests, we both joined. Daves was selected on his first try, while I was selected in the second contest.

The meet-and-greet gave us the chance to meet each of the legends, exchange a few words, and take photos before the exhibition match. There were many fans waiting for their turn too, so we truly appreciated every moment. 💕

🏸 Taufik Hidayat – 2004 Olympic Champion, 2005 World Champion, and my all-time badminton hero.

🏸 Hendra Setiawan – 2008 Olympic Champion and one of the greatest men's doubles players of all time.

🏸 Ricky Soebagdja – 1996 Olympic Champion and one of Indonesia's most decorated men's doubles players.

🏸 Candra Wijaya – 2000 Olympic Champion, World Champion, and founder of Candra Wijaya International Badminton Centre.

🏸 Liliyana Natsir & Tontowi Ahmad – 2016 Olympic Champions and one of the greatest mixed doubles pairs in badminton history.

Meeting these badminton legends in person was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Shuttle Open and Bank BCA (MyBCA) for making it possible.

One of the things I'll remember most from Shuttle Open wasn't just meeting the badminton legends, but also meeting fellow badminton fans who warmly welcomed me and Daves to their event and country.

Thank you to everyone I met during the event. It was nice meeting badminton fans from Indonesia and sharing our love for the sport. Next time, I pray, we will "ngistora" together (per Asih). 🙏💕 Maybe Bank BCA MyBCA will host another edition of Shuttle Open next year. ☺️
