In celebration of World Patient Safety Day, with the theme “Safe Care for Non-Communicable Disease,” Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin through Patient Safety Committee and Public Health Unit successfully conducted an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Talk.

The activity aimed to strengthen awareness and understanding of Infection Prevention and Control practices, emphasizing that every simple precaution can make a big difference in keeping our patients, healthcare workers, and community safe.

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit joins in the celebration of World Environmental Health Day (September 26, 2026) with the theme: "Environmental Health: Standing with Science to Protect Communities"

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin through the Hospital Waste Management Committee actively participated in the celebration of World Environmental Health Day in promoting a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment.

On September 25, 2026, hospital personnel joined together for a general cleaning of the hospital and its premises, helping maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for our patients, healthcare workers, and the community.

OPLAN TAOB & TREE PLANTING ACTIVITY
The hospital team also participated in Oplan Taob and Tree Planting Activity at Anaao Elementary School with the BONA MD Team in strengthening our commitment to environmental protection and community partnership.

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit joins in the celebration of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, World Leukemia Awareness Month and Blood Cancer Awareness Month (Month-long)

As part of the celebration of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin through the Public Health Unit conducted an OPD Lecture on September 24, 2026, led by our very own Resident Pediatrician, Dr. Jamica Ann Bilgera-Pascua.

👩‍⚕️ Dr. Jamica shared her valuable knowledge and expertise on childhood cancer, highlighting the importance of awareness, early recognition, timely consultation, and proper care for our children.

The lecture became even more engaging as our OPD patients actively participated in the Question-and-Answer portion. Participants who answered correctly were given simple tokens of appreciation, making the learning experience both meaningful and enjoyable. 🎁👏

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Public Health Unit joins in the celebration of Generics Awareness Month (Month-long) with the theme: "Kalusugan ng Bawat Pilipino, Generics ang Katuwang Mo" and World Pharmacists Day (September 25, 2026) with the theme: "Empowering pharmacists for Healthier Futures"

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin Pharmacy Department in partnership with Public Health Unit successfully conducted an OPD Health Lecture in celebration of World Pharmacists Day 2026 and Generics Awareness Month, headed by our Pharmacist II, Ms. Fe Marie L. Leti, together with her dedicated Pharmacy Team. 💜💊

Our OPD patients attentively listened and actively participated during the Question-and-Answer portion, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm while answering questions and receiving simple prizes from ISDH Tagudin and the Pharmacy Department. A simple snack was also shared with our participants as a gesture of appreciation.

The celebration was made even more enjoyable with a Photobooth, where participants captured memorable moments, and a raffle draw with an exchange of simple tokens were given to those who took part in the program.

Our heartfelt appreciation to the ISDH Tagudin Pharmacy Department for your effort, dedication, creativity, and active involvement in this once-a-year celebration. In celebration of the 69th Philippine Medicine Week (September 20-26, 2026), Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin (ISDH Tagudin) through its Public Health Unit and in partnership with Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society (SISMS) joins the medical community in promoting health, wellness, and quality healthcare for all.

As part of this meaningful celebration, an Outpatient Department (OPD) Lay Forum on "Hypertension in Pregnancy” was conducted on September 23, 2026, coinciding with the institution’s OB-Gynecology Check-up Day.

The lay forum was delivered by Dr. Jay Ann Gamilde, OB-Gynecologist of ISDH Tagudin and a member of the Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society, who shared valuable information on the importance of early detection, proper monitoring, and appropriate management of hypertension during pregnancy.

This activity highlights the hospital’s continuing commitment to health education, disease prevention, and the promotion of safe and healthy pregnancies in the community.

Ilocos Sur District Hospital Tagudin throught the Public Health Unit and Healthy Workplace Committee joined the celebration of National Thyroid Cancer Awareness Week today, September 23, 2026, at the OPD Area, through an informative health lecture and interactive Q&A session.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Marcus Luke L. Dauz, ENT Specialist for sharing his valuable expertise and insights on Thyroid Cancer Awareness, helping our patients and healthcare workers better understand the importance of awareness, early recognition, and appropriate care.
