In the pursuit of safer roads and communities, the University of Northern Philippines College of Medicine, Community Surgery, in collaboration with the Philippine National Police, proudly presents a m specialized training event designed to enhance the capabilities of Brgy. Tanods and Police Officers in conducting field sobriety tests.

Through expert-led lectures and hands-on m demonstrations, participants will gain crucial m knowledge on detecting signs of impairment, ensuring proper protocol in roadside checkpoints, and upholding public safety. This initiative underscores the commitment to responsible law enforcement and proactive community engagement in the fight against drunk driving.

PROJECT MEDIC: Medical Emergency Disaster Intervention Course, in collaboration with the Caoayan Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, is a disaster preparedness workshop, which aims to equip local responders with critical health emergency skills, ensuring quicker, more effective care when disaster strikes.

Uncontrolled bleeding is a major cause of preventative deaths. Approximately 40% of trauma-related deaths worldwide are due to bleeding or its consequences, establishing hemorrhage as the most common cause of preventable death in trauma. The person next to a bleeding victim may very well be the one whoโ€™s most likely to save them from bleeding to death.

Clinical breast examinations, carried out by our dedicated barangay health workers, are an essential step in identifying potential risks early.
