🧾 MG Practical Guide: Be Your Own Advocate

Living with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) means learning how to speak up for your needs—especially when it comes to your health 💙

Here are simple but important guides to help you feel more prepared and confident:

👜 What to bring to doctor visits
• List of your medications (with dosage & schedule)
• Recent symptoms or changes you noticed
• Questions you want to ask
👉 Example:
“I noticed I feel weaker in the afternoon after my meds wear off.”

❓ Questions to ask your neurologist
• “Is my current medication still effective?”
• “What should I do during flare-ups?”
• “Are there medications I should avoid?”
👉 Example:
“Why do I feel more tired lately even with my current treatment?”

🗣️ How to explain MG to others
Keep it simple and clear:
👉 “MG is a condition that makes my muscles weak and easily tired.”

👉 Example:
“I may look okay, but my muscles get tired quickly, so I need to rest more often.”

💡 Lesson:
Be your own advocate—your voice matters in your care.

❤️ Benefit:
Leads to better understanding, better communication, and better healthcare experience.

✨ Don’t be afraid to ask, explain, and speak up—you know your body best.

🌟 MG Motivation: Gentle Reminders for Strong Souls

Living with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) is not easy—but sometimes, a few simple words can give us strength to keep going 💙

Here are reminders you may need today:

✨ “Rest is not weakness, it’s wisdom.”
👉 Example:
You planned to finish your tasks today, but your body feels too tired.
Instead of pushing yourself, you choose to rest.
That’s not failure—that’s taking care of yourself.

✨ “Your pace is still progress.”
👉 Example:
You walked a little slower today… or did fewer tasks than yesterday.
But you still showed up.
And that still counts.

✨ “You don’t have to do everything today.”
👉 Example:
There are days when even small tasks feel heavy.
It’s okay to leave some things for tomorrow.

✨ “Even resting is part of your healing.”
👉 Example:
Taking breaks, lying down, and pausing is not wasting time—
it’s helping your body recover.

💡 Lesson:
Encouragement matters—especially on hard days.

❤️ Benefit:
Uplifts your heart and reminds you that you are doing enough.

✨ Be gentle with yourself. You are doing your best.
