Bayanihan sa Paaralan, Kaayusan para sa Kinabukasan 🧽🫧

Brigada Eskwela is more than just cleaning classrooms and repainting walls. It represents the spirit of cooperation, or bayanihan, where students, parents, alumni, teachers, school personnel, and members of the community join forces with one common goal. Through this shared effort, our school becomes a safer, more welcoming, and more motivating place for learners.

As we prepare for a new school year, we are reminded that a positive learning environment is not only about physical preparations. It also requires people who are willing to put in effort and work together for the benefit of all learners. Whether the contribution is small or large, every act of service plays a valuable role in the school community and helps make a difference.

When it comes to helping our school grow, no contribution is too small. Together, these efforts can create meaningful change and strengthen the sense of unity and cooperation among everyone involved. By working together, we continue to nurture a learning environment where students can learn, succeed, and look forward to a brighter future. 💚

🌱 As part of Brigada Eskwela 2026, YES-O invites everyone to take part in the following activities:
• Spot Quest
• Trash to Treasure
• Plant and Soil Drive

Less power. More impact. 💡

Every year during Earth Hour, it becomes clear how small choices can lead to real impact. Switching off lights for sixty minutes shows a quiet commitment to saving power, while also helping nature stay balanced. Though brief, the gesture signals care beyond habit and routine.

In the middle of deadlines, responsibilities, and daily routines, it may feel inconvenient to pause. However, setting aside just an hour will not take away from important tasks. Instead, it creates space to step back and recognize how caring for the planet fits into our shared responsibility.

Darkness for an hour may seem small, yet it can spark wider change. This pause encourages reflection, then action. It is not merely a gesture, but something that can grow into a habit carried beyond a single hour. Moments like these can reshape how we see energy, waste, and time.

Today’s choices shape what comes next. Small steps taken now help build resilience for the future. Each decision creates a ripple effect, quietly influencing what lies ahead. Acting now, rather than later, helps move us toward lasting change.💚🌏

Congratulations Batch Dimasalang! 💛

Some journeys are not measured by how smoothly they were lived, but by the strength it took to keep going.

Today, 28th of March 2026, in its 9th Commencement Exercises, the Science and Technology Education Center – Senior High School honors Batch Dimasalang, a batch shaped by years that tested patience, resilience, and faith in the process.

Drawn from the pseudonym of José Rizal, Dimasalang means “untouchable.” It is a name that now carries weight, reflecting a batch that stood its ground through uncertainty and change, refusing to be defined by the circumstances around them.

Now, they rise not because the path was easy, but because they endured it. They leave not untouched by struggle, but transformed by it—stronger, steadier, and ready for what comes next.

Congratulations, Batch Dimasalang of 2026! A batch that could not be shaken, and will not be forgotten.

“Observing Today, Protecting Tomorrow.” — World Meteorological Organization 🌍

Every day, most of us glance at the weather without much thought. Behind each prediction, though, lies a network stretching across continents and oceans. High above, satellites circle the planet. Down below, sensors on land and water gather constant data. These tools track shifts in temperature, pressure, and moisture moment by moment. A single report forms slowly, shaped by inputs from many directions. Seemingly small updates rely on massive coordination. Information flows between locations, combining into something useful. This process runs daily, mostly unseen. It connects distant points to create clarity. People gain awareness because pieces fit together across vast distances. Awareness leads to readiness, even if few notice how it happens.

When conditions shift around us, paying attention matters more than ever. Early warnings reach communities before crises, improving safety through timely decisions. Responses, however, depend on how well people understand weather patterns and long-term changes. While knowledge builds over time, each insight strengthens our readiness for the Earth’s ongoing shifts.

A broader view does more than improve forecasts. Protecting what lies ahead begins with noticing what is happening now. Choosing awareness shapes responsibility. What we observe today helps protect tomorrow. 💚

💧“Where water flows, equality grows.” — United Nations 🚰

Water moving through communities often brings fairer chances for everyone. This World Water Day 2026 invites a closer look at the theme “Water and Gender: Where water flows, equality grows,” drawing attention to how deeply women are involved in managing water while facing heavier burdens when access is limited. Though often central to securing water for their households, their voices remain limited in the decisions that matter most. Because gender shapes both roles and risks, progress demands more than infrastructure. It requires fairness woven into policy. When systems ignore women’s realities, solutions stall. Yet where inclusion rises, so does resilience. Equality in water governance is not just an outcome. It becomes an engine.

For more than 2 billion people, clean drinking water remains out of reach despite its basic role in survival. When droughts deepen or floods spread due to shifting climates, access becomes even harder. Daily routines shift under pressure along with chances for well-being and stability. Health suffers where water becomes scarce; safety weakens when sources are distant or unsafe.

Although this crisis affects all people, its impact is felt most by women and girls. Walking long distances to collect water often falls on them along with caring for those who fall ill. Households depend heavily on their quiet labor, much of which goes unseen. Still, despite being deeply involved in managing water, women are often left out of the decisions that shape water systems, policies, and leadership. This is why the water crisis is also a women’s crisis.

This season’s message stands firm. Give women power, listen to their voices, and recognize them as leaders driving change within water systems. When clean water reaches everyone fairly, it goes beyond survival. It opens doors, restores dignity, and helps communities thrive. 🌍💙

Turning Over a New Leaf ☘️

A new chapter begins for the Youth for Environment in Schools-Organization (YES-O) as it held its Leadership Turnover for School Year 2026-2027 on March 18, Wednesday afternoon. This event marked not just a change in positions but also a continuation of purpose and passion.

The event was filled with stories and shared moments. The outgoing officers of School Year 2025-2026 reflected on their journey, offering advice, lessons, and glimpses into the experiences that shaped their leadership. Their words served as guidance and inspiration for the next group of officers stepping up to lead.

Through a voting process, new leaders were chosen, carrying with them the trust of the organization. A short meeting between the former and newly elected officers followed. This created a space for connection, collaboration, and a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Every ending makes way for something new. Just like nature, the organization continues to grow, change, and thrive with each passing year. 🌱

🌊🌍 Making Waves for a Cleaner Tomorrow!

Today, September 20, 2025, in Basak Tangke, Lapu-Lapu City, a few organizations and clubs from STEC—SSLG, YES-O, MARS, Junior Police, and Mantalaan—came together to join the International Coastal Clean-Up 2025.

From remnants of broken tires to pieces of broken bones left behind, we picked up countless pieces of trash that threatened our seas and shores. 🐚✨ Each piece collected was a step toward protecting marine life and preserving our environment for future generations.

🌟 Together, we turned small actions into a big impact—proving that when we unite, we can truly make a difference!
