The 5-Day Training of Trainers (TOT) on โIdol Ko Si Nanayโ May 4-8, 2026 was successfully conducted at Nanay Deliaโs Farm with the active participation of the Municipal Health Office (MHO) Carigara Staff, Rural Health Midwives, Department of Health Human Resources for Health (DOH-HRH), Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) Representative, and Barangay Health Worker (BHW) President.
The activity aimed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, and capacity of health and nutrition workers in promoting proper maternal and child nutrition, health education, and community-based nutrition interventions. The training also emphasized the importance of empowering mothers and families through effective health promotion strategies and community participation.
The training was facilitated by Mr. Ernest R. Dimakiling-Development Officer II, Ms. Jessa G. Paragas-Nutrition Officer III and Hon. Catalino P. Dotollo Jr., DPA, MPH, MAN, PSNT-Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator who shared valuable discussions, practical insights, and strategies related to nutrition, maternal care, and community mobilization.
The conduct of the training was initiated and coordinated by MNAO Designate Ms. Maricel P. Pore in support of the municipalityโs commitment to improving maternal and child health outcomes and strengthening nutrition programs at the community level.
Throughout the five-day activity, participants engaged in interactive discussions, workshops, group activities, and experiential learning sessions that enhanced their capability to become effective trainers and advocates of the โIdol Ko Si Nanayโ program in their respective barangays and communities. The training fostered collaboration, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation of the vital role of mothers and community health workers in achieving healthier families and communities.
