MELLPI 2026✨

The Municipality of Carigara successfully underwent the Municipal-Level Evaluation of Local Nutrition Program Implementation (MELLPI) conducted by the Leyte Provincial Health Office Nutrition Team on September 25, 2026 at the Liga Hall, Carigara, Leyte.

The evaluation assessed the municipality’s implementation, documentation, and accomplishments of its local nutrition programs and interventions. Through the collaborative efforts of the local nutrition team, Carigara achieved an overall rating of 83%, surpassing the 80% passing rate. 👏

The activity was actively supported by Ms. Maricel Pore MNAO Designate, Ms. Gloria Labastida PMNP Technical Manager, and the members of the municipal nutrition team. Also present were Ms. Roxanne Emping DOH DMO IV, and Ms. Rachel Rencodo of the PMNP Team, whose support and participation contributed to the successful conduct of the evaluation.

Information Drive on Routine Vaccination and Hypertension in celebration of Generics Awareness Month with target client of above 20 years of age (Philpen), FPE and HH Convergence IS.👌

In celebration of Generics Awareness Month, the Rural Health Unit of Carigara together with DOH HRH and Philhealth Staff conducted a Health Education Session on Generic Medicines, Hypertension, and Routine Immunization, with the PhilHealth First Patient Encounter (FPE), on September 17, 2026 (Thursday) at the Barangay Camansi Multi-Purpose Gymnasium, Carigara, Leyte.

The activity aimed to strengthen the community’s awareness of the safe and proper use of generic medicines, promote prevention and management of hypertension, and emphasize the importance of completing routine immunization among children.

The activity also provided an opportunity to orient community members on PhilHealth services, HH Convergence IS and PHILPEN (20years old up) encourages them to avail themselves of appropriate healthcare services through the local health facility.
