๐ International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Today, December 3rd, is International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD). It's a day to celebrate the strength, resilience, and invaluable contributions of people with disabilities worldwide!
But let's make sure we're seeing all disabilities.
To those with visible disabilities: We celebrate your advocacy, visibility, and power.
To those managing invisible disabilities: Conditions like chronic pain, mental health conditions, neurological disorders (e.g., ADHD, autism), chronic fatigue, learning disabilities, and many others. We see you, your daily fight, and your quiet strength. Your challenges are valid, even when they aren't outwardly apparent.
๐ Remember: there is ability in every disability. Disability isn't always visible. Let's practice empathy, patience, and non-judgment toward everyone. A little kindness goes a long way in building truly accessible and inclusive communities. A friendly reminder from Kindr Learning Center.
