BUNTIS CONGRESS 2026
📍 Barangay Health Station (BHS) Maltana
đź“… August 6, 2026

The Buntis Congress 2026 was successfully conducted through the collaborative efforts of the Barangay Local Government Unit of Maltana, the Rural Health Unit of Tampakan, and the South Cotabato Provincial Population Office, with the shared goal of promoting maternal and child health through health education and essential services for our expectant mothers.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Hon. Felix V. Abanto, Barangay Kagawad on Health, for his warm welcome message, and to Ms. Kathleen V. Lanaza, RN, MNAO Designate, for her inspiring message to all participants.

Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to our resource speakers:
• Dr. Johann Franz S. Jamison, DMD, Rural Health Unit Dentist, for the lecture on Oral Health;
• Ms. Loraine C. Torres, RND, HRH Nutritionist-Dietitian, for the “Pabasa sa Nutrisyon”; and
• Ms. Rachel H. Lopez, Provincial Population Officer I, for the discussion on Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition (MNCHN) and Family Planning.

We also acknowledge Dr. Gillian Joy Tedera for providing medical consultations and laboratory services, as well as the dental team for rendering basic oral health care, and everyone who contributed to the successful distribution of maternity kits to our beneficiaries.

Special thanks to Ms. Melanie Chiva, Provincial Population Officer, for delivering the closing remarks, and to Ms. Merry Joy G. Casagda, RM, for serving as the Master of Ceremonies and ensuring the smooth flow of the program.

To all our pregnant mothers who participated, thank you for your active involvement and commitment to learning. May the knowledge and services shared during this congress contribute to healthier pregnancies, safer deliveries, and stronger families.

Together, we continue to strengthen our commitment to promoting safe motherhood and improving the health and well-being of every mother and child in our community.
