A growing field needs more Filipino physicians ready to lead, serve, and learn.

The UP–Philippine General Hospital Division of Addiction and Recovery Medicine, under the UP-PGH Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Medicine, is now accepting applicants for its 2027 Clinical Fellowship in Addiction and Recovery Medicine.

Our fellowship offers transdisciplinary clinical training anchored on three core areas: training, service, and research—preparing physicians to provide evidence-based, compassionate, and recovery-oriented care for people affected by substance use disorders and behavioral addictions.

We welcome graduates of residency programs in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Neurology who are interested in expanding their practice into Addiction and Recovery Medicine.

The program is accredited by the Philippine Academy of Addiction and Recovery Medicine (PAARM), an affiliate subspecialty organization of Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP)

BEYOND BORDERS: Bridging Specialties and Transforming Addiction Care in the Philippines 🇵🇭

The Philippine Academy of Addiction and Recovery Medicine (PAARM) proudly invites you to its Inaugural Annual Convention—a pioneering milestone for addiction and recovery medicine in the Philippines.

Addiction is complex and knows no boundaries between specialties. Meaningful recovery requires us to move beyond traditional silos and embrace a transdisciplinary approach that brings together physicians and professionals across Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Public Health, and other fields involved in the continuum of care.

Through evidence-based practice, collaboration, and recovery-oriented care, this historic gathering aims to strengthen how we understand, prevent, treat, and support recovery from substance use disorders—placing the person, family, and community at the heart of care.

This is more than PAARM’s first convention. It is an opportunity to bridge specialties, share knowledge, build partnerships, and shape the future of addiction and recovery medicine in the Philippines.

Together, we go BEYOND BORDERS—because transforming addiction care begins when disciplines come together for one shared purpose: recovery.
