πŸ’ŠπŸ₯› DID YOU KNOW? NOT ALL MEDICINES SHOULD BE TAKEN WITH MILK!

Milk and dairy products contain calcium and other minerals that can bind to certain medicines and reduce how much of the drug your body absorbs. This may make the medicine less effective.

Some medicines that may interact with dairy include:
πŸ”Ή Tetracycline antibiotics – doxycycline, tetracycline
πŸ”Ή Fluoroquinolone antibiotics – ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin
πŸ”Ή Bisphosphonates – alendronate, risedronate
πŸ”Ή Thyroid hormone – levothyroxine
πŸ”Ή Iron supplements – ferrous sulfate, ferrous fumarate
πŸ”Ή Some other medicines may also be affected by calcium-rich foods.

⏰ Important: The correct timing between your medicine and dairy depends on the specific drug. Don’t assume that β€œ1–2 hours before or 4 hours after” applies to every medicine always check the medicine label or ask your pharmacist.

πŸ₯› Dairy includes milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, butter, and other calcium-rich dairy products.

πŸ’‘ When in doubt, ask your pharmacist!
