Many skilled workers in Saudi Arabia ask how much fine they have to pay if their Iqama expires.

The important thing to know is that Iqama fines are generally not calculated based on how many years the Iqama has been expired. Instead, penalties depend on whether it is the first, second, or repeated violation.

✅ First violation: Fine may be 500 SAR
✅ Second violation: Fine may be 1,000 SAR

Saudi authorities arrested 7,760 violators of residency, labor, and border security laws during nationwide inspections conducted over the past week.

The arrests included:
• 4,060 residency law violators
• 2,574 border security law violators
• 1,126 labor law violators

Authorities also deported 4,690 individuals, while legal procedures are ongoing for others.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated that anyone helping violators by providing transportation, shelter, or employment could face up to 15 years in prison, fines of up to SR1 million, and confiscation of vehicles or properties used in such activities.

Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen efforts to enforce residency, labor, and border security regulations across the Kingdom.
