Patellar Tendinopathy

Persistent pain below the kneecap can limit your movement, training, and daily activities. Patellar tendinopathy — commonly known as “Jumper’s Knee” — is an overuse condition caused by repetitive stress on the patellar tendon, often seen in active individuals, athletes, and even people with repetitive knee loading activities.

At MetroPhysio, we go beyond temporary pain relief. Our rehabilitation approach focuses on restoring tendon capacity, improving movement mechanics, rebuilding strength, and guiding patients safely back to the activities they love.

Common Signs:
1. Pain below the kneecap
2. Discomfort during stairs, squats, running, or jumping
3. Knee stiffness after rest
4. Tenderness over the tendon
5. Reduced strength and performance

How We Help at MetroPhysio
- Comprehensive movement assessment
- Progressive tendon-loading rehabilitation
- Strength and mobility training
- Sports and activity modification guidance
- Return-to-sport conditioning
- Patient-centered recovery programs

Because recovery is not just about reducing pain — it’s about restoring confidence in movement.

Every jump, step, and squat should feel strong — not painful. At MetroPhysio, we help patients recover from patellar tendinopathy through evidence-based rehabilitation focused on strength, movement, and long-term recovery.

We are bridging the gap between "recovery" and "living."

Many stroke survivors fear the public eye. Bringing a patient into the "real world" navigating a menu, standing in line, and managing the busy environment like cafe it's more than just a drink—it’s a return to independence.

We are grateful for the opportunity to stand behind our patients, literally and figuratively, as they reclaim their place in the community, and proves to them that the world is still accessible.

We work tirelessly, often silently, to ensure our patients don't just survive their condition/injury—they thrive after it.

We aren't just teaching them to walk; we are teaching them to return.

Conquering a small cafe proves to them that the world is still accessible, reducing the risk of depression and social withdrawal.
The patient isn't just "walking better"—they are living again.

"Survival is the starting line; thriving is the finish line."

What is Pelvic Floor Dysfunction?

Pelvic floor dysfunction happens when the pelvic floor muscles become weak, tight, or unable to coordinate properly. These muscles support the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs, and play an important role in posture, core stability, and daily movement.

When these muscles are not functioning well, it can affect comfort, control, and quality of life.

Common symptoms may include:

1. Urinary leakage or urgency
2. Pelvic pain or pressure
3. Constipation or difficulty with bowel movements
4. Lower back or hip discomfort
5. Pain during movement or daily activities
6. Core weakness and instability

Pelvic floor dysfunction can affect both men and women and may occur after pregnancy, surgery, injury, prolonged sitting, or chronic strain.

At MetroPhysio, pelvic floor rehabilitation is designed to restore muscle coordination, improve strength and mobility, and help patients regain confidence in movement and daily function through personalized, evidence-based therapy programs.
