Rabies Awareness campaigns focus on vaccinating pets, and that’s extremely important. But protection shouldn’t stop there — People need protection too.
At Dr. Care Animal Bite Center - Marikina, we extend rabies awareness beyond pets by helping protect pet owners, families, and anyone exposed to animals.
If you are bitten or scratched by a dog, cat, or any animal, do NOT ignore it.
⚠️ Even light scratches or small puncture wounds can carry the rabies virus. If you experience this...
• Immediately wash the wound with soap and running water for 15 minutes
• Seek medical care as soon as possible
• Start the recommended Anti-Rabies Vaccine (ARV) series
