The Maripipi Primary Care Facility proudly joined the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly of Brgy. Calbani through the active leadership of SK Chairperson Paul Kim R. Nacional.

During the assembly, DOH Doctor-to-the-Barrios Dr. Augustus Fabon II engaged the youth in an important discussion on 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 and its vital role in preventing all forms of sexual violence and promoting healthy, respectful relationships among adolescents.

Meanwhile, DOH-deployed Nurse Reygem Salonoy Manuel led an informative session on 𝐓𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲, highlighting its risks, effects, and evidence-based strategies for prevention.

In preparation for the upcoming Nutrition Month celebration, the Maripipi Primary Care Facility also distributed 𝐈𝐫𝐨𝐧 + 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐜𝐢𝐝 (IFA) tablets to female adolescents to help prevent anemia and promote better health among our young women.

This meaningful collaboration reinforces that the Adolescent Health Agenda remains a priority under the 𝐔𝐒𝐖𝐀𝐆 𝐊𝐀𝐇𝐈𝐌𝐒𝐎𝐆 Health Governance of Mayor Joseph Canonoy Caingcoy.

In line with the commitment to promote health, wellness, and disease prevention within the community, 𝙖 𝙆𝙞𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙮 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 was successfully conducted, followed by a 𝐙𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 to encourage physical fitness and healthy living.

The program was facilitated by Mam Maridelle P. Gutierrez, RN, NDP and Mam Andrea Nova G. Cuevas, PTRP, who shared valuable insights on kidney health, safety practices, and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

This activity was made possible through the initiatives of Mayor Joseph Canonoy Caingcoy under the Uswag Tindog and Uswag Kahimsog programs, which aim to enhance health awareness and foster a culture of wellness among community members.

The event served as an avenue for participants to gain essential health knowledge while actively engaging in physical activity, reinforcing the importance of preventive healthcare and overall well-being.

The Maripipi Primary Care Facility, in coordination with the Provincial Health Office, successfully conducted a series of health activities aimed at strengthening public health services and promoting community wellness over a two-day period.

The Maripipi Primary Care Facility conducted a Dental Check-Up, Distribution of Dental Kits, and Pinggang Pinoy Health Teaching for pregnant women as part of its commitment to promoting maternal and oral health in the community.

The activity provided oral health assessments and consultations to help ensure good dental hygiene and prevent oral health problems during pregnancy. Dental kits were distributed to encourage proper daily oral care and healthy hygiene practices.

In addition, pregnant women participated in a Pinggang Pinoy health education session, which emphasized the importance of balanced nutrition during pregnancy. The discussion focused on proper food choices, healthy eating habits, and the nutritional needs of both mother and baby to support a healthy pregnancy and safe delivery.

Through these initiatives of Mayor Joseph Canonoy Caingcoy, continues to empower mothers with the knowledge and resources needed to maintain their health and the well-being of their children.

As part of the Uswag Kahimsog campaign of Mayor Joseph Canonoy Caingcoy, the Maripipi Primary Care Facility NDPs ,RHM and Provincial DOH representatives conducted an 𝘖𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 among school children to promote good dental hygiene and healthy habits at an early age.

The activity focused on educating learners about the importance of proper tooth brushing, regular dental check-ups, healthy eating habits, and the prevention of common oral health problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. Interactive discussions and demonstrations encouraged children to practice daily oral care and maintain healthy smiles.

The Maripipi Municipal Health Office (MHO) successfully underwent the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) assessment today, June 9, 2026, conducted by evaluators from the Biliran Provincial Health Office, Provincial Department of Health Office - Biliran, Inter-Local Health Zone, and partner Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).

MELLPI is the Philippine government's standardized monitoring and evaluation system that assesses the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of nutrition programs implemented by Local Government Units (LGUs) and Local Nutrition Focal Points (LNFPs).

During the evaluation, the Maripipi MHO was assessed across five key dimensions:

• Vision and Mission
• Nutrition Laws and Policies
• Governance and Organizational Structure
• Local Nutrition Committee Management Functions
• Nutrition Interventions and Services

Through the proactive implementation of nutrition programs under Project Kabaskog, aligned with the USWAG KAHIMSOG health governance agenda of Mayor Joseph Canonoy Caingcoy , 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐩𝐢 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝟗𝟑.𝟏𝟏%.
