Tree Planting Activity in Celebration of Family Planning Month: NURTURING ENVIRONMENT & HEALTHY FAMILIES

In observance of the Family Planning Month Celebration, the Pamplona LGU, spearheaded by Hon. Nikko Niño Ramirez together with the Rural Health Unit of Pamplona, led by Dr. Beth Nemiajoy Catacutan and the Commission on Population and Development, headed by PopCom Officer Ma. Victoria Ramirez held a dual-purpose activity combining environmental stewardship and Reproductive Health Advocacy — linking Tree Planting with the core values of Family Planning: Preparation, Responsible Nurturing, and Securing a sustainable future.

The activity commenced promptly at 6:30 AM at the surroundings of the Barangay Magsusunog Dump Site. Led by PopCom Officer Ma. Victoria Ramirez, together with Municipal Health Officer Dr. Beth Nemiajoy Catacutan, RHU staff, BHWs, BPDOs, Barangay oOficials, and Volunteers, the team planted seedlings across the site — transforming open areas into spaces of new growth and greenery. The activity symbolized the parallel between tree care and family planning: preparing the ground, giving proper space to grow, and nurturing life to thrive.

At 10:00 AM, the assembly moved to the Pamplona Gymnasium for a short educational program. The session focused on Family Planning — covering DOH-approved methods, benefits, correct usage, myths vs. facts, and the importance of informed decision-making for couples and families. The program was attended by the dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) and Barangay Population Development Officers (BPDOs) of Pamplona, who serve as frontline educators and advocates in their respective communities.

Planting Trees and Planning Families go hand‑in‑hand — both are about giving space to grow, nurturing life, and securing a better future for the next generation. Every seedling placed in the earth today mirrors the care we put into planning every family: prepare well, give room to thrive, and nurture with all you’ve got.

HEART-TO-HEART TALK AT PNHS!

DAY 2 of our Heart-to-Heart Talk series was truly wonderful and meaningful — today we connected with the Grade 10 Students of Pamplona National High School.

We are deeply grateful to our speakers, Mr. Jun Mark Dela Cruz and Ms. Camila Caminade for sharing such valuable insights, wise guidance, and open, honest conversations with our youth — speaking straight from the heart to theirs.

This activity is an advocacy of RHU Pamplona, headed by our Municipal Health Officer Dr. Beth Nemiajoy G. Catacutan and the Commission in Population and Development led by PopCom Officer Ma. Victoria Ramirez in close partnership with Pamplona National High School.

Open conversations. Proper guidance. Genuine care. — These build confidence, clear doubts, and help shape a healthier, safer, brighter future for EVERY student.

Thank you to the teachers, staff, and every student who joined, listened, and engaged — your participation matters! Let’s keep walking beside our youth, guiding them with love and truth, hand in hand.

VAMOS PAMPLONA!
