Empowering Educators for Healthy Learning Institutions! 🏫💭👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

The SDO-Nueva Vizcaya School Health and Nutrition Unit recently concluded a vital 2-day intensive training focused on CPR, Food Safety, Adolescent Reproductive Health and Mental Health Awareness.
​This initiative, under the dedicated leadership of Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Orlando Manuel and Medical Officer III Dr. Ryan Christopher Buccat, was designed to equip our educators with life-saving skills and wellness strategies.

SDO Nueva Vizcaya Medical Team in Action

The athlete was immediately provided with first aid at the Santiago Sports Complex and subsequently transferred to our quarters for continued rapid assessment and management. Our Mini ER setup delivers hospital-level care on-site—ensuring prompt medical intervention, minimizing unnecessary hospital referrals, reducing patient stress, and saving valuable time during competitions.

This is just one of the many cases we have managed since Day 1, kudos to our dedicated medical team for their unwavering commitment, quick response, and excellent care for our athletes! 💪🚑

The successful implementation of Phase 1 of Mental Health KATATAGAN PLUS: Understanding Su***de was made possible through the strong support and leadership of our SDS Dr. Orlando Manuel, ASDS Dr. Adonis Ceperez, and Chief SGOD Dr. Romulo Ancheta. Thank you for championing school-based mental health initiatives and for your continued commitment to the well-being of our learners.

We look forward to the successful conduct of Phase 2 this coming August 2026 as we continue strengthening mental health awareness and support systems in our schools.
