I am Niikolo's mom and I created this page to knock on your kind hearts for support an help. Niikolo was born with several congenital anomalies.

1. Congenital Heart Disease - is a defect in the structure of the heart and great vessels that is present at birth. Niikolo's heart defect is clasified as Ventricular Septal Defect which is defined as a defect in the ventricular septum, the wall dividin

g the left and right ventricles of the heart.

2. Imperforate A**s - Imperforate a**s is a defect that is present from birth (congenital). The opening to the a**s is missing or blocked. The a**s is the opening to the re**um through which stools leave the body. ( http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001147.htm)
He had his colostomy operation during his 2nd day of life and is now using a colostomy bag as his way of disposing his stool.

3. Radial dysplasia (radial club hand, radial longitudinal deficiency) is a congenital difference occurring in a longitudinal direction resulting in radial deviation of the wrist and shortening of the forearm. ( http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radial_dysplasia). He haven't had any therapy yet for his RIGHT hand but despite of his hand's deformity, Niikolo have his own way of using it. Which is really amazing to see. Our family isn't wealthy to produce the money that's needed for Niikolo's Open Heart Surgery. We've been reaching out to several organizations to seek for medical and financial help or any kind of assistance that we can get to come up of the amount needed for the surgery. As parents, we never wanted to see our children suffering even from the simplest form of illness, what more if the illness requires an operation? We do not expect too much but we are hoping that you will find time to read Niikolo's journey. Other than money, your prayers are far more important. Thanks and regards,

New year, new start of appointments again to hopefully get slots for his surgeries.🙏

Honestly, nakakapagod. Mula sa pagising ng maaga para maagang makapag-prepare at makabyahe, para kahit paano mauna kami sa queue dahil sa dami ng pasyente lagi sa ospital. And based from our experience, uubos talaga ng buong araw just for one appointment. Nakakaubos talaga ng lakas at nakakapanghina.😅😆

Pero kagaya ng lagi kong sinasabi sa sarili ko after a long and tiring day, pwede akong mapagod at magpahinga, kasi si Niikolo nga lumalaban na since pinanganak sya dba? So fight lang. Maitatawid rin namin toh lahat.🩵

PS: Current fave song nya yang “Dear Maria, Count Me In” na yan, kaya yan ang background song. Tsaka para hindi kayo maiyak sa post ko.😅😆

Yung literal na naluha ako paglabas ng botika. Kasi finally, nabili ko na yung maintenance medication ni Niikolo. Ang tagal na walang stock sa mga pharmacies. Ilang weeks na syang nag-skip ng inom nito. Akala ko wala na akong mabibilhan talaga. Kulang pa toh, pero ok na rin. Importante makainom na sya ulit.😭😭😭

Kagaya ng palagi naming wish at dasal tuwing birthday mo, sana patuloy mong piliin maging malakas at malusog. Sisikapin kong maitawid lahat ng surgeries mo, D**g. Basta pangako mo sakin na lagi kang malakas. Deal?🤝

Gusto ko rin mag-sorry sayo kasi hindi kita agad na-protektahan sa mga kapwa mo bata sa school nung nagawa nilang tuksu-tuksuhin ka.🥲 Pero don’t worry, ngayon na alam ko na, I’ll make sure na hindi na yun mauulit. Thank you for telling me. I gotchu.💪🏻
